As AI reshapes our world, we need to keep human dignity, responsibility and flourishing at the center. This Friday's conversation with Francis Collins, Trae Stephens and Matt Ridenour on humanity's future in the age of AI should be a particularly good one. luma.com/tbccities-mebo

The growing conversation between faith leaders and the technology industry is an important one, and I'm encouraged to see it gaining attention. AI will touch nearly every aspect of our lives, including how we learn, work, connect and practice our faith. That makes it essential that the people building these technologies engage with the communities they will ultimately serve. Faith communities have a valuable perspective to bring to this conversation, particularly around human dignity, relationships and moral responsibility. wsj.com/tech/ai/ai-has-a-god…

Sing to the Lord a new song;     sing to the Lord, all the earth.   Sing to the Lord, praise his name;     proclaim his salvation day after day.   Declare his glory among the nations,     his marvelous deeds among all peoples. Psalm 96:1-3

AI can inform and assist us, but human judgment, moral responsibility and spiritual discernment must remain deeply human. AI should serve people and human flourishing. axios.com/2026/10/03/openai-…

AI will make chip design faster. It won't make chips easier. I sat down with Raghu Raghuram and Guido Appenzeller at a16z to talk about what's really constraining the AI buildout. It's not just compute. 1) Silicon still takes quarters to manufacture, no matter how fast we design 2) Memory bandwidth and advanced packaging are huge choke points 3) Copper is giving way to optical 4) Energy capacity is becoming economic capacity I also think today's explosion of specialized AI chips will consolidate around fewer architectures. And I'd love to see what a "VMware for agents" looks like when infrastructure is built for them instead of for us. Full conversation at the link. Thank you Raghu and Guido – always great to talk with you!
Former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger on getting hired at 18, designing Intel's chips while finishing his PhD, and arguing with his Stanford professors: "I'm 16 years old. I accidentally win a scholarship. I go to tech school, skip my last year and a half of high school, and Intel comes recruiting when I'm 18 years old." "The interviewer, he writes on his page, and I was number 12 that he interviewed that day... He says, 'Smart, aggressive, arrogant. He'll fit right in.'" "I was engineer number four on the 386. Architect and design manager for the 486. All of that while doing my bachelor's, my master's and PhD work... Learning by day, and putting it to practice at night." "One of the professors postulated a new carry lookahead adder design in one of my classes at Stanford. So I said, 'Well, I'm working on the 386 carry lookahead adder, so let me go try it.'" "I come back two days later to the professor and I said, 'It doesn't work.' The next two class periods were just me and the professor arguing over why his design didn't work." @PGelsinger @RaghuRaghuram @appenz

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:12-14

AI helping build the next generation of AI may be one of the most consequential shifts happening in technology. That feedback loop could dramatically accelerate innovation. It also makes human judgment, purpose and responsibility more important. Human flourishing must remain the destination. theguardian.com/technology/2…

AI infrastructure is getting bigger and increasingly heterogeneous. GPUs are only part of the story. Networking, memory, CPU, storage, power, cooling and connectivity are all critical to scaling AI. Some of the biggest breakthroughs may happen far below the model layer. The infrastructure is the innovation! reuters.com/business/hpe-boo…

Great to be with the builders at the @gloo AI Hackathon! AI is advancing at a remarkable pace, and we get to decide what we build, which problems we solve and who this technology serves. At the other end of every technology is a person. The tools are here. The problems are worth solving. Now go build!

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:1-4

A powerful call from Pope Leo. As AI becomes more deeply embedded in our lives, we have an opportunity and responsibility to build technology that strengthens human dignity, relationships and flourishing. AI should bring people together and help humanity flourish. reuters.com/technology/pope-…

I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

One of the most important questions in AI isn’t simply what these systems can do, but what values will guide how they do it. Encouraged to see technologists engaging faith leaders in these conversations. As AI becomes more capable and more deeply embedded in our lives, wisdom, human dignity and flourishing need to be part of the design process from the beginning. Technology should ultimately help people flourish. That requires more voices around the table, not fewer. christianitytoday.com/2026/0…

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5–8

As AI becomes more personal, people will increasingly turn to it for questions of meaning, morality and faith. AI can support learning and reflection, but spiritual formation is deeply relational. Faith communities have an important role in ensuring technology strengthens human flourishing, but I do not believe AI can ever replace human connection. apnews.com/article/artificia…

I appreciated this conversation with @CareyNieuwhof. Christian leaders have an opportunity and a responsibility to engage with AI early, build wisely and help shape it around values that advance human flourishing. Grateful to share how @gloo is contributing to that work.
Is AI simply the next communications medium, or does it require Christian leaders to engage in a new way? @PGelsinger joins @cnieuwhof to discuss Gloo’s mission, shaping AI for good, and how technology can help churches serve people better. vist.ly/5hpix

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

The next era of AI will be won across the full stack. OpenAI’s Jalapeño results are another strong signal. Training, inference and agents place very different demands on compute. There is no single architecture that is best for every workload. The future is heterogeneous computing, with hardware and software co-designed to deliver the most useful intelligence per dollar. The inference era is here! openai.com/index/the-full-st…
