Korea shows what knowledge, determination and resilience can achieve, and how one country’s development journey can benefit others.

From digital transformation to housing, this is what the @WorldBankGroup Knowledge Bank is about: take what works, adapt it, and put it to work at scale.
Great to hear from our colleagues in Korea on how to build on this partnership and make even more of Korea’s expertise.
At the Global AI & Digital Summit in Seoul this week, we asked ministers, tech leaders & partners: how do we take small AI solutions from the few to the many, and fast?
Our answer: the @WorldBankGroup's new Digital & AI Implementation Plan.
The goal: connect 1 billion people to jobs, services & opportunity by 2030. That’s 600M using broadband, at least half women, and 400M using digital services: worldbank.org/en/news/press-…

The scale of @WBG_IDA’s impact is counted in millions.
But it’s felt one person at a time: when a farmer gets market access, a student stays in school, or a family gains electricity.

80% of global GDP growth will come from cities, but too few are yet investable.
At #WBGMeetings, I joined Minister Reem Alabali Radovan of @BMZ_Bund and Hamburg Initiative partners to discuss how stronger revenues and the right policy can unlock the finance cities need to grow.
A greener economy has to be a more resilient one, and that takes finance working at scale.

Thank you, @AsmundAukrust. Norway has long been a strong and principled advocate for IDA, and its support helps change lives in the countries that need it most. A good discussion on how we keep up the momentum on climate and gender equality.
