5.9M S burned! 🔥
As previously communicated, unclaimed tokens from the Sonic airdrop were scheduled to be burned.
On October 15, the burn was triggered permissionlessly onchain, permanently removing 5.9M S from circulation.
Transaction hashes:
sonicscan.org/tx/0xf2c8634f7…
sonicscan.org/tx/0x4b335d2f4…
With the airdrop concluding and the remaining tokens burnt we want to thank everyone who participated and used our orderbook during the duration.
We will keep it online for ~1 month so any remaining orders can be cancelled. airdrop.paintswap.io

This month's featured developer is @thedeif, lead developer at @paint_swap and a jack-of-all-trades software engineer with around 20 years of experience.
When Paintswap released @EstforKingdom, an idle RPG browser game, deif got hooked, started building third-party tools for its players and was eventually hired by Paintswap. Now lead developer, they work across the whole stack to push what's possible for onchain games.
"Before Envio Estfor ran on legacy The Graph and considering we had tens of millions of tracked events it would take over a day to release new features or fix bugs due to the extremely lengthy backfill times. I decided to give Envio a go to see if the speed improvements that they advertised could be remotely achieved internally in Estfor. Our expectations were surpassed not only in terms of speed, but in migration ease, developer support by the Envio team, and developer tooling to help diagnose bottlenecks and better optimise our data handling methods. After the latest optimisation pass our custom deployment using Envio's HyperSync processes >10k events per second, allowing us to backfill 2 years of historical data in under an hour (over 30x speed improvement)! I would not hesitate to recommend Envio to anyone that needs to track onchain event data." - deif, Lead Developer at Paintswap on Estfor Kingdom
Well done, deif 🥇

Estfor Kingdom Update
Our 3rd Anniversary may be behind us, but there’s plenty more ahead.
• Game optimizations and performance improvements
• Chinese language support added
• Coin Exchange removed
Thank you for being part of Estfor Kingdom. More to come!

Yes. $BRUSH holders, beardies holders from @paint_swap & @EstforKingdom players are likely candidates if the dApps are part of the launch program. Might also do a conversion of assets. Any dapp that wants to be a launch partner we will work something out as well as funding

Players can already fully play Estfor for free no gas and not even needing a wallet with our passkey solution. Many players are already doing so. Will be interesting to see how chain level implements the same.
A few apps have proved gasless works. They've also proved it's too expensive.
A proxy wallet per user, a relayer, a signer pool, all run by one app for one app. Leave the front end and you need the gas token again.
Sponsorship shouldn't be infra every team rebuilds. At Sonic, we're working on a native solution to this. Building it one layer down, into the chain itself.

Our tokenomics provide for an annual mint of 47,625,000 sonic-3:native to fund Sonic's growth. The first allocation was minted on June 18, 2025.
This year, we did not mint it.
We are actively working toward no longer inflating the supply of sonic-3:native. The one question still open is validator rewards, since the network needs to fund its own security, and we are working on how to do that.
This decision comes in direct response to what our community and stakeholders have asked for.
We will share more details as the work continues.

With everything going on with Sonic leadership changes and price action.
It’s great to see our loyal players continuing to play day in and day out. Accounting for between 30-40% of the chains entire daily active addresses.
Keep battling heroes.

End of an era for Fantom Opera.
It also means ~96M $BRUSH (~21%) will be effectively removed from the supply.
Moments like this reshape token economics.
If you haven't migrated your BRUSH yet now is the time. bridge.paintswap.io/
Since launch, Sonic has become the home of the ecosystem - users, builders, liquidity, and validators have all made the move.
With that transition complete, Fantom Opera will be retired on June 30, 2026.
The Fantom Opera network will cease operation at 5:00 PM GMT on June 30, 2026. If you have not migrated your assets, please do so before then. This serves as official notification of the network closure.
The ERC-20 FTM → S route and Sonic Gateway are not affected.
