Volunteers broke ground on an ADA accessible trail for students at PNW BOCES on October 19th for Regeneron’s 10th annual Day for Doing Good. In this case, the “day” will turn into a week, as they began work on the pathway, which leads to an outdoor classroom. Roughly 700 volunteers will be on our campus throughout the week. BOCES Urban Forestry and Construction students also worked on the project, headed up by CEE's Dan Novak and organized with the help of Vounteer New York! #pnwboces #wecandothat @Regeneron @pnwbocestech #regeneronD4DG @VolunteerNYnow

PNW BOCES Culinary students got a taste of their future during a visit with a representative from the Culinary Institute of America. Second-year students listened as recent CIA graduate Kenadi Carter made them gnocchi with tomato cream sauce and told them all there is to know about the school. #pnwboces #wecandothat

PNW BOCES and Hendrick Hudson High School alum Jason Marino said he learned the tricks of the trade from his BOCES Intro to Construction teacher Brian Duffy. Marino, who is working as a general contract manager for a construction company, said the program at PNW BOCES helped launch his career. “I would not be where I am without the program at BOCES,” said Marino, who graduated in 2025. Becoming a general contract manager a year after graduation was quite the coup for Marino. “We learned so much in our Construction program at BOCES,” Marino said. “It made it so much easier to begin a career.” #pnwboces #wecandothat

Walden students had their choice of the crop at the school's pumpkin patch. The students picked their pumpkins on Thursday, October 16. They’ll have plenty of time to carve them into Jack-O-Lanterns for Halloween!

PNW BOCES Tech Center alum Danielle Settembre put her Cosmetology-class skills and college business degree to good use when she opened the Hair Saloon and Café in Scarsdale in 2020. The only hair salon in Westchester County with a licensed, commercial-grade cocktail bar, the Hair Saloon and Café is Settembre’s brainchild. Settembre, also a Yorktown High School alum, said her experience in the Cosmetology program at BOCES provided her with the skills she needed to create a successful business. “PNW BOCES was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said. “My teacher, Pat Gilman, was amazingly passionate and taught us so much about the industry.” #pnwboces #wecandothat

One of the many benefits of attending PNW BOCES: Colleges come to you! Steve Simpson’s Auto Body classes were visited by Jeff Renwick, a senior admissions advisor from Ohio Technical College. Students heard about what they can study at Ohio Tech and what the school community is like. Courses range from collision repair and diagnostics, welding, high performance and racing and motorsports and motorcycles. #PNWBOCES #WECANDOTHAT
