Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, India, participated in the Ministerial Roundtable on the sustainable utilisation of medicinal plant resources on 17 October 2026, during the World Traditional Medicine Conference in Beijing, China. The roundtable brought together health ministers and senior health officials from participating countries to discuss the sustainable utilisation of medicinal plant resources.
The discussions focused on the global demand for medicinal plant resources and their potential role in disease prevention, health promotion and healthcare, particularly in developing countries. The initiative aimed to encourage countries to contribute towards making medicinal plants a significant health resource worldwide.
The roundtable also provided a platform for health ministers to share their views and recommendations on the initiative and its next steps, fostering mutual learning and exchange among countries. It aimed to build international consensus on the sustainable utilisation of medicinal plant resources and contribute to the broader goals of traditional medicine for all and universal health coverage.

नई दिल्ली स्थित अखिल भारतीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान (AIIA) ने2026-2027 के शैक्षणिक सत्र में आयुर्वेद पर आधारित प्रसूति देखभाल को बेहतर बनाने के लिए 'गर्भिणी मित्र' नाम से एक नया पाठ्यक्रम शुरू किया।
@moayush के अनुसार छह महीने का यह पाठ्यक्रम गर्भावस्था और प्रसवोत्तर अवधि के दौरान महिलाओं को उचित स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा, जीवनशैली मार्गदर्शन और सामुदायिक स्तर पर सहायता प्रदान करते हुए प्रशिक्षित कर्मियों को तैयार करने के लिए बनाया गया है।
मंत्रालय ने बताया कि 18 वर्ष या उससे अधिक आयु के वे उम्मीदवार, जिन्होंने किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड से वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की है, 31 अगस्त तक आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं।

देश का सबसे बड़ा आयुर्वेद संस्थान 'ऑल इंडिया इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ आयुर्वेद' (AIIA) मेरे लोकसभा क्षेत्र में सरिता विहार में स्थित है। आज संस्थान का 10वां स्थापना दिवस समारोह मनाया गया।
मैंने संस्थान के निदेशक प्रो. पी.के. प्रजापति को स्थापना दिवस पर दी बधाई और शुभकामनाएं।
यह 200 बिस्तरों वाला एक आधुनिक मल्टी-स्पेशलिटी रेफरल आयुर्वेद अस्पताल है। यहाँ पंचकर्म, शल्य चिकित्सा, स्त्री एवं प्रसूति तंत्र, नेत्र रोग, दंत चिकित्सा और बाल रोग सहित 25 से अधिक स्पेशलिटी विभाग और क्लीनिक मौजूद हैं।

AIIA Director Prof. (Vaidya) P. K. Prajapati says, "As you know, on October 17, 2016, the All India Institute of Ayurveda—Akhil Bharatiya Ayurveda Sansthan—was dedicated to the nation by the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Since then until now, it has been nearly 10 years as we prepare to celebrate our 10th Foundation Day on October 17, 2026. We hope and reflect that many developments have taken place during this time. Starting from zero, we have reached a level where the All India Institute of Ayurveda has come to be recognized as a nodal agency. It has become a role model for many. Numerous visitors from abroad continuously come here just to see what the All India Institute of Ayurveda should ideally be like..."

(वैद्य) प्रदीप कुमार प्रजापति ने 'कौमारकॉन 2026' के अवसर पर बच्चों के लिए विशेष पंचकर्म चिकित्सा सुविधाओं की शुरुआत पर कहा, "आज 'कौमारकॉन 2026' का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। देखा जाए तो यह कौमारकॉन का तीसरा संस्करण है, क्योंकि इससे पहले दो कौमारकॉन हमने जोधपुर आयुर्वेद विश्वविद्यालय में आयोजित किए थे। हमने देखा है कि आजकल के बच्चों में बहुत सारी समस्याएं हो रही हैं। देखा जाता है कि उनके लिए कोई स्पेसिफिक इलाज नहीं है। इसलिए हमने बाल पंचकर्म को शामिल किया है जिसके नतीजे अच्छे आ रहे हैं। बच्चों में ज़रूरी है कि उनका ध्यान लगे, धारणा शक्ति बने, धैर्य बने। यह बच्चों में आजकल नहीं दिखता है..."

“Naturopathic Self-Care for Nursing Personnel”
The CCRYN OPD, ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi, continued its 50-day countdown campaign towards the 9th Naturopathy Day 2026 by conducting an educational session on “Naturopathic Self-Care for Nursing Personnel” on 17 October 2026, marking 33 days to go until Naturopathy Day. The programme was held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, in collaboration with the Indian Nursing Council (INC), as part of its Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programme, “Excellence in Nursing Care”
Continuing Nursing Education(CNE) provides structured learning opportunities to enhance the professional knowledge, clinical competence and skills of ”Nursing Personnel.
Dr. Sindhul Chaudhary, Consultant, Naturopathy & Yoga, CCRYN, Ministry of AYUSH, delivered an informative and comprehensive lecture introducing the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), Ministry of Ayush and its role in promoting research and development in the field of Yoga and Naturopathy. The session covered the fundamental principles of naturopathy, various naturopathic therapies and its physiology, clinical significance and the importance of evidence-based research in supporting their appropriate application in healthcare.
A total of 50 Nursing Personnel nominated by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) attended the programme, reflecting a positive response to the integration of Naturopathic knowledge into continuing professional education.
The initiative marked another meaningful milestone in the 50-day countdown to the 9th Naturopathy Day and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in promoting evidence-informed, preventive and holistic healthcare practices.
