A major drama unfolded this afternoon involving what was presented as the @GIWA_by_Upbit Mainnet, but turned out to be a fake mainnet.
Within just a few hours, degens using @DYORSWAPDEX reportedly lost around $2M.
Here’s what happened:
An anonymous user contacted the DYOR team and provided what appeared to be leaked information about the Giwa Mainnet, including an RPC endpoint and bridge.
The DYOR team then started bridging funds and deployed its launchpad on this network using Chain ID 9134, believing it was the real Giwa Mainnet.
DYOR later announced the “Giwa Mainnet” integration and shared instructions for users to bridge funds to the network.
More and more users started depositing into the bridge, eventually reaching around 766 ETH, worth roughly $2M.
The owner of the bridge contract then drained the entire balance.

A brutal reminder: an RPC endpoint, Chain ID, or “leaked mainnet information” does not prove that a network is official.
Always verify new networks and bridges through official project channels before depositing funds.
Stay safe and be extremely careful with fake mainnets and malicious bridges.
