OCM Genesis Reinscribed with the Digital Rosetta Stone! The iconic OCM Genesis has been reinscribed with the full Ordinals Protocol source code, transforming it into the Digital Rosetta Stone for Bitcoin art. This artifact fills an entire Bitcoin block (905026) and resides on a block 9, 450x sat with four cursed inscriptions, embodying unmatched provenance, scarcity, and conceptual depth. The new milestone adds to OCM's list of innovative art: 1⃣OCM Genesis: Pioneered generative art collections on Bitcoin - the blueprint for others that followed. 2⃣OCM Dimensions: Revolutionized recursive art with inscribed code libraries (three.js and p5.js) for creators, plus the first immutable, evolving inscriptions and randomized reveals. 3⃣The Digital Rosetta Stone: Preserves the Ordinals protocol on Bitcoin, and now all inscriptions are completely on-chain! This piece is more than conceptual art. It's infrastructure, history, self-reference, and preserves all Ordinals and Art on Bitcoin forever! 🔥🔥🔥

OCM Genesis #9296 has had an interesting journey - first purchased by a collector on Ethereum a few years ago, then teleburned to Bitcoin, then accidentally used to pay 0.2 BTC for a taproot wizard mint, passed through an exchange by the taproot wizard's team, and segregated by a sat hunter last year, where it sits today.

CZ is challenging us to get fit. Who's in? OCM had a group, Monkey Misfits, that encouraged each of us to workout and reach our goals. What goals do you have? I'll start: 15 non-kipping muscle-ups. I did 10 today. AI added my pfp to my video (introduced chicken winging too🤣)!
Not my usual style to post half naked photos, but what the hell... 🤣 Also 49, no AI, no photoshop, pure human labor. I encourage people to compete on health, not wealth rankings or lambos. More health, more family = true wealth, and happiness.

Does anyone know who segregates inscriptions to this address? bc1qacy7lqlr7nckw8m4etpew45f23g0schavt47cv It was from a mining fee last week in Bitcoin block 969,227.

It's been 5 years and OCM is STILL: - Completely on-chain - Growing generative art - Innovating on what's possible on-chain - Tokenizing the world Proud of the on-chain community. LFG!
It’s been 5yrs and BAYC is STILL: • Lives free in ppl heads • Main topic of discussion • Pissing off rich soy boys into burning them (this has happened b4, rider ripps) • Pissing off repeated scammer • Outlived & thrived every “death” of bayc • Number 1 club on the internet Proud member🫡🍌

Sounds promising for tokenization. Good shoutout from CFTC @ChairmanSelig on Hernando de Soto. We worked with him on putting property rights on chain for Egypt in 2015. Too big and too early a project back then. Excited for what is finally happening now with tokenization!
NEW: The CFTC proposes its first comprehensive crypto regulatory framework covering leveraged trading and a new exchange category, as the agency moves to fill the gap left by the CLARITY Act's failure.

Agreed. Do cool things. For OCM that's doing cool on-chain things. OnChain is in the name, and have been working to bring OCM even more OnChain over the years, including now. Will share more soon. On chain art is still just a small part of NFTs, and is growing.
I think the space needs to mature beyond speculation in NFTs I don't think it should be the job of the project to create speculation To take it a step further, I think projects went too far creating speculation that wasn't backed by their outputs This is what started the slippery slope We need to get back to - do cool things - your fans will find you - long term value will accrue when # of fans >> # of available collectibles

Art museums are nice. But they’re a byproduct of the last wealth cycle. Industrial fortunes built the Met, MoMA, Cleveland, the National Gallery. Carnegie put art galleries high on the list of what the wealthy should buy. The rich built the rooms, and the rooms decided which art got elevated. That system worked for a world of scarce physical objects. It is not the system that will matter most for the next generation of artists. The new wealth is coming from tokenization. The new platforms are on-chain. AI changes how work is made. Together they change how work is experienced, owned, and remembered. A painting needs a wall in a room. Fully on-chain work does not. The blockchain is a new medium and artists are creating new works native to blockchains like Ethereum and Bitcoin. You don’t wait for a museum board or a gallery room. Museums will collect some of it. A few already have. But they are not important for the new art, only useful for history. The institutions that matter for future artists are the ones that understand tokenization and take part in the new wealth cycle. New wealth builds new rooms. Some physical. Many not. Art on Bitcoin. 🔥

If anyone ever asks you about @OnChainMonkey Dimensions’ significance to art on Bitcoin, show them this! (mind blown 🤯) Almost 250,000 inscriptions can already trace an onchain relationship back to Dimensions. The collection that pioneered recursion on Bitcoin. And now, for the first time, you can actually see its creative and historic lineage unfolding! This is Bitcoin art history, mapped. 🗿

OnChainMonkey. Built Different.
“Fully onchain” is NOT the finish line. Completely strip away the modern technological world we all know. @OnChainMonkey Genesis has been engineered around three extraordinarily fundamental foundations: - the Bitcoin blockchain.
- the English language.
- Mathematics. On any given timeline, as long as those 3 foundations survive, the knowledge and instructions required to reconstruct the original 10,000 works are designed to survive along with them. 🤯 I’m aware this is a fairly abstract concept to hold in your mind, but I implore you really think about what that means! There could be: no browsers. no web servers. no JavaScript. no SVG implementation. no image codec. no Ordinals explorer. no company or institution left to explain what any of it means. but because OCM Genesis has created an onchain recovery and verification system, the collection can STILL be successfully reconstructed in its entirety. 🧠 And it doesn’t merely preserve the artworks themselves. It preserves the traits, the geometry, the drawing rules, the pixel grid, the colour definitions, the historical metadata, and the cryptographic commitments needed to check whether the recovered outputs are indeed correct. So if “fully onchain” is the only metric you’re using to categorise the permanence of digital art, I’m here to tell you that that metric is no longer enough, and that that barometer you’re using is already outdated. 😬 You’re going to have to dig deeper…..MUCH, much deeper. 🕳️ Down past storage. Past dependencies. Past software. Past rendering environments. All the way down to this question: “Could someone who has lost our entire technological era still recover the art?” That is the level OCM Genesis is now operating at. And after actively looking for comparable examples across the history of onchain and digital art, I have yet to find another collection with a preservation architecture anywhere near this comprehensive. @OnChainMonkey, as always, stands alone! 🐵 !RISE to alien levels of intentionality, execution and permanence.
