Nobody buys a CRM for its task editor. But they feel every lost draft, extra click, and unnecessary tab switch. These details deserve as much care as the big features. Proud of what we shipped at @octolane today.
Day 7: Shipped upgraded tasks, for the humans + the agents writing them @octolane tasks now have: 📅 Due dates in one click ✍️ Styled text and links 💾 Drafts that survive ✅ Finish tasks where you open them 👥 Pick several people or records at once Live for all customers today 🏎️

This is nuclear 💥 I called @octolane from my phone, gave it a goal, and hung up. Couple hours later, a 1,000 company campaign was sitting in Slack waiting for my approval. This isn’t an easy task and here's how Octolane did it under the hood: 1. Analyzed our top 50 closed won deals to learn what our best customer actually looks like 2. Searched millions of companies to find 1,000 true lookalikes 3. Opened every single websites with browser use to verify each match and messaging 4. Made thousands of API calls across enrichment, email, and shipping providers 5. Verified 962 emails, cross-checking every contact against multiple sources 6. Queued 1,000 personalized sticker packs Under the hood, it runs on Octolane Driver 4 model we trained on millions of real GTM workflows, so it makes judgment calls like your best sales rep would.

Getting a message like this from a customer makes all the late nights worth it. Still a lot to build, but really proud of this ❤️

“You’ve outdone yourself.” A customer said that after Octolane recovered 30+ stalled deals cleared a 6 months of follow-ups while they were on the road. @octolane is the first CRM that is itself superintelligent. Self-driving, the way people have wanted since CRMs existed. It finds your customers. It works the deal end to end. It creates its own tasks, then does them. Your only job is to approve. And it’s intelligent in the way that matters. We went through thousands of edge cases in real knowledge work. Like a forwarded thread with three people CC’d, the contact who changed companies and taught Octolane to handle every one of them. Powered by custom models we trained. Cleanly and correctly. Our MCP is world-class too. We put it head to head against every alternative out there. It held. We’re not done. The goal now is to push this to the limit. If you’ve ever wished your CRM would just handle it, it does now 🏎️

Design engineering at its best
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with @paper MCP + Claude Code and Cursor to build components with different states, themes, and edge cases. At @octolane, some of my recent work was also done using this setup. It makes it so much easier to design components and see how they would look for different edge cases.

Just crossed another milestone, thank you everyone for your support and believing in @octolane
never giving up is crazy, like what do you mean we went from sleeping on the floor to users emailing us at 2am saying they're never going back to Salesforce. @kul, partner at @ycombinator, told me to stop guessing and run the Superhuman PMF test. "How would you feel if you could no longer use Octolane?" The bar is 40% "very disappointed." We got 74% from [XXX] users. @ROWGHANI at @firstharmonic told me something a while back: once you narrow down your ICP, everything else works out. He was right. If you take anything from this, it's this " Getting to PMF is a pure ICP play plus relentless iteration with a capable team" A lot of our users are my best friends now. I take care of their dogs, help with their businesses. Recently helped one of them move apartments. We hit PMF for a specific segment of the market and did this without any billboards, flying planes and with xero sales team. We're winning head to head against companies with 50x our resources and hot funding. Now I wake up to emails from users I've never met telling me how bad the thing they switched from was. Now I smile on demo calls the moment someone starts talking, because I can finish their sentence before they do. Took us 2 years. Zero days off and a lot of nights I wasn't sure. To everyone who used @octolane when it was rough, replied to my 2am emails, told me what was broken, and stayed anyway: this is yours too. 2026 brought me a lot of happiness, friendship, and late night realizations. But most importantly, it brought me a team that decided to relentlessly execute. Grateful to @vitorviesi for making sure every pixel is perfect and every detail is crafted. To Raonak, Tareq, and @yashsehgaldev for the countless all-nighters. And to my co-founder and best friend @halim__rafi , the kid on the right in the photo. We’re just getting started. A year ago I told @kathrynwu1, one of my closest friends from YC W24, while Jason was driving us somewhere: the day we get PMF, the only thing SF will see is Octolane. It’s time. 🏎️🏎️🏎️

We spent the past few days testing this, down to what happens when you open a meeting or close a deal. Now you open @octolane and your day is right there: meetings, tasks, pipelines, and performance. Pick what needs attention and get into the work. My fav part is, they are just not read-only cards, they can take actions too 💪 Check more here: octolane.com/updates

You open your pipeline with a question: what changed this week, and where should I focus? Now you can ask @octolane right there, with your pipeline already in context. Save the session and come back to it next week. Less setup, more answers. Live for all our customers ✨
Day 5: shipped the pipeline with an actual brain. Every pipeline now has a right-click menu with everything you'd expect (rename, duplicate, pin, copy link, import CSV/Excel, delete) + one thing you wouldn't: Ask Octolane. That's an agent with your pipeline as context. Flag what moved this week. Find me more customers like the last one. One click and it saves as a session you can rerun. Now available to all our @octolane customers. If your CRM still treats pipelines like static spreadsheets, you're going to feel the gap soon. Day 6 tomorrow. Watch this space 🏎️🏎️🏎️

Looking at it now, there’s a lot between those two pictures. Two years of building @octolane, listening to customers, fixing things, and figuring out who we were really building for. Some of those customers stayed through the bugs and the rough versions. They kept telling us what wasn’t working. We kept going back and making it better. Now some of those same people are telling us they wouldn’t go back to their old CRM. When you’ve spent so much time on the other side of that conversation, those messages mean a lot. Grateful to everyone who gave us another chance, and to this team for the work that got us here. Still a lot to build ❤️

Big update coming!!
I had a great time working on v2 of the CSV import experience for accounts for @octolane My next set of improvements includes enriching different field types for accounts and designing a better field-mapping experience when importing multiple CSV files. New demos and BTS coming soon this week ⚒️

Day 3: Shipped Agent interface v2 today. Every pixel is on purpose built for end to end sales work. 🚢 Our heaviest users dropping a 30k-row csv in, letting an agent run for an hour, and coming back to a clean pipeline, enriched contacts, and follow-ups drafted. Nobody knew you could do that. Our fault. So today we made it obvious. With this agent interface: ✅ Files. Drop in anything. CSVs, PDFs, call transcripts, the massive export you’ve been avoiding. ✅ Integrations. Hundreds of apps, one click. The first one is Claude. Our best users already run Octolane from Claude, or text it from their phone to deploy agents while they’re in a meeting. If you’re a Claude power user and you’re still updating your CRM by hand, I don’t know what to tell you. Shipping 7 days a week from Mission Bay, SF. See you tomorrow 🚢

2 years ago, I didn’t know a single soul in San Francisco. Last week, more than 70 people showed up to a bar for my birthday. Let me tell you why SF is the greatest city in the world. I dropped out of Duke and came to San Francisco on a one way ticket, with $400 to my name from working at a hospital gift shop. My family was so upset that my mom didn’t speak to me for months. I was @mintlify’s first intern, working out of a coworking space at Celo’s HQ on Mission Street. One day, I looked up at Salesforce Tower and asked a friend why it was the tallest building in the city. I didn’t even know what Salesforce was. “Everyone hates Salesforce,” he said. That was our entire market research. I called my best friend Rafi that night, and we started building. What followed was day after day at the same coffee shop in Mission Bay. Building, fixing, running across the city to onboard customers. Some customers left. We fixed things and earned another chance. We watched companies around us pivot. We kept going. One day, @rauchg texted me out of the blue, asking how he could help. I hadn’t pitched him or asked anyone for intro. With everything he was building, he’d somehow found the time to notice what we were building as well. And after working with his team at @vercel for months, I’ve realized that generosity runs through the whole company. @christianelton and @Katiehicks111: every single time I text you, someone replies in under a minute. An actual human who understands what we’re building and helps us figure it out. I don’t know how you manage that. You’re some of the best people in the world at what you do, and somehow you make us feel like you have all the time in the world for us. The CEOs of Mercor, Pylon, Infisical, Greptile and Mintlify became investors in Octolane. Mintlify. The same company where I was the intern two years ago. I still haven’t quite gotten used to that. Three weeks ago, I was sitting in @ycombinator's office talking to our group partner Harj Taggar. I told him the revenue milestone we were chasing would probably take until next year. We hit it yesterday. I keep thinking about how many people helped make that sentence possible. It’s hard not to get emotional. The customer who gave us another chance. The person who made an intro and put their own reputation behind ours. The friend who checked in because they wanted to know whether I was actually okay. Whatever I gave this city, its people gave me more. Again and again, without asking for anything back. That’s why I love San Francisco. There was so much I still needed to learn. But this city saw someone who kept showing up, and gave me a chance. To me, the United States of America is the greatest country in the world, and San Francisco is the greatest city in it. 🇺🇸 🌉 This city made me believe that you can work hard, stay focused, help the people around you, and see your life become something you once wouldn’t have dared to imagine. That miracles happen. And that you often get to know the people who helped make them happen. @octolane is that miracle for us. And last week, I got to stand in a room with so many of the people behind it. To everyone, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for turning a city where I knew nobody into a place I call home. gm from the best city in the world.
