Happy Birthday Dad xxxxx Today is my Dad’s 90th birthday, and I have a few words I’d like to say on this special occasion. There is no man in the world I admire more than my Dad, and I have met many remarkable people. He’s the only man I’ve always wanted to be just like, but never will be. He’s my role model, my hero, a shining example of what it means to be a truly good man, and the best father anyone could wish for. I think many of us want to see our Dad as a kind of knight in shining armour. Mine is. One evening many years ago I called him from somewhere far away. He dropped everything and flew half way round the world to help me. No questions asked, didn’t even finish his dinner. He turned up the very next day in some dubious corner of the world, unshaven, almost dead on his feet, because that’s what a Dad does. He is the only man whose praise made my efforts worthwhile, whether it be building a sand castle when I was four, or walking on stage at Wembley when I was sixty four. To see pride in his eyes meant the world to me. Still does. Always will. I love my Dad more than words can say, always have. He is everything a good man should be and I am proud to be his son. More than proud, I am honoured to be his son. Happy 90th Dad. Xxxxxxxxx

Last show of the tour tonight at Crystal Palace bowl. Thank you to everyone that’s come out to see us over the last few weeks. Some of the best crowds I think we’ve ever had. It’s been a lot of fun. Photos: Joeri Peeters

Fantastic photo from our Amsterdam show on Monday night by Lorena van Wieringen (Punkie).

If any of you have been getting Meet & Greet offers from an outfit claiming to be my ‘management team’ please ignore. It’s yet another scam. I don’t have a ‘management team’ and I’m not doing Meet & Greets at all for the foreseeable future. As most of you probably know already, when we were doing Meet & Greets, we never contacted fans personally to offer them, they were only sold via my US Store. The current Soundcheck VIP Passes are also sold EXCLUSIVELY through my official US Store: numanstore-us.company.site

Absolutely incredible night last night at The Piece Hall in Halifax. More people came to see us than I’d dared hope for. Stunning location, fantastic staff, just a memorable day from start to finish. A show I have been looking forward to for such a long time delivered ten times over. Thank you to everyone that came to see us and to the staff for looking after us so well all day. We are all very grateful. Five more shows to go with the big finale at Crystal Palace on August 6th. Tix. garynuman.com/tours

This photo was taken around 12 years ago. This was the first time I ever went in to the studio with Raven who, at only ten years old, had already written a collection of songs that were impressively catchy. The session was a brutal lesson for me, in that she was clearly destined to go her own way, when, somewhat exasperated with Dad’s suggestions, she turned to me and said ‘I don’t think you’re the right man for the job’. She was right. Even at ten she knew what she wanted with her music. Her debut album is coming together nicely (different songs obviously). I can’t wait for you to hear it, and no, I’ve had absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever. I wouldn’t dare. @raven_numan
