I'd previously posted about a series of engagement farming accounts with large followings that use the names of major figures in the Trump family or administration. Now, according to X's location feature, an account called "Barron Trump News" with 580,000 followers is based in Eastern Europe, an account called "Ivanka Trump News" with 1 million followers is based in Nigeria, and an account called "Kai Trump News" is based in North Macedonia.

This is an expanding genre of grifting on X. These are all fake accounts that pretend to post news about a major figure associated with the Trump administration. In reality, they all regularly post fake news and engagement farming for profit. See these posts. Notice a pattern?
