21,000 churches have become subject to VAT on repairs overnight, with the end of the Listed Places of Worship Grants Scheme.
Visit our website for all the details on what we know so far, and how you can help churches affected by these changes.
The event brought together experts, policymakers, craftspeople, volunteers, faith leaders and community voices to explore the challenges and opportunities facing church buildings. A year on we're still campaigning to help ensure that churches have a sustainable future.

The first running water in 1000 years is on the way to our #ChurchOfTheWeek, St James in Great Ormside, Cumbria.
The church dates back to at least the 11th century and is built on a largely man-made hill – a Viking or earlier burial ground.

“We are extremely grateful for the help of the National Churches Trust, the Headley Trust and those who have donated money to them. The church door is never locked, and we want it to remain a quiet and safe place for all who come."
