PAX East was last weekend; I didn't go, but in 2015 I cosplayed there as Elaine Marley. In the spirit of what I'm calling MONKEY MAY 🐒🏴☠️ I'm going to start the @telltalegames Monkey Island for the first time ever tonight on Twitch! Be there, else ye be a scurvy scallywag! 🦜💀
Losing @Starcadian is a huge blow to the Synthwave scene, and we're deeply saddened to hear of his passing. An amazing performer as well as an unstoppable force in the scene, our deepest condolences go out to all of his family and friends. 💜
Grant (NEON_ARCADE) from @neonsynthwave is live on Twitch now kicking off a week of streaming with the finale of Chrono Trigger on original hardware - stop on by and see how it wraps up!
Other creatives, artists, musicians, designers, curators, historians, writers, and more were already tuning into this aesthetic. We noticed this, and while we were planning for the first NEON in 2018, our goal was to try to convene as many people who vibed with this wavelength.
So please, stay tuned in the coming days for long-awaited details about the vision we already have for NEON's next incarnation and ways to help make it a reality. In the meantime, you can follow us on our respective Twitch channels (neon_arcade/cobracommanda) and in our Discord.
The next thing people usually say is, "No other event feels this way." There is a reason for that, but it might not be what you think....
NEON represents a frequency, and it existed long before we started working on a music and retro culture festival.
A thread 🧵on the next NEON RETROFEST
Two years ago this week, against all odds, we resurrected NEON Retrofst but under tropical sunshine this time--where the event wanted to be. What resulted was an unforgettable weekend, as evidenced by your kind posts and amazing photos.
The projected outlook for Businesswave is bullish with this... very nice track from @betamaxx80s and Michael Weber💹
