Ours is a story of struggle, sacrifice, progress and lessons still to be learnt. As we celebrate how far we’ve come, we look ahead to the work that remains. Democracy gives every eligible voter a voice in shaping their community’s future. So, let’s come to the table, celebrate our progress, ask the hard questions and make our voices heard. Because our future starts with us. Let’s continue building better communities together. #VoteAnc2026 #Letsbuildbettercommunities

Your first job should be a starting point, not an impossible hurdle. Public Service policy provides that designated entry-level posts at salary levels 3–6 should not require previous work experience, subject to specified occupational requirements. This helps address one of the biggest frustrations facing young jobseekers: being told they need experience before anyone will give them a chance. Opening pathways into work is an important step towards a more inclusive economy. #VoteAnc2026 #Letsbuildbettercommunities

ANC COMMEMORATES THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PASSING OF PRESIDENT SAMORA MACHEL
Today, October 19th, is the 40th anniversary of President Samora Machel's passing. He was an example of selflessness, revolutionary thinking, anti-colonial struggle, working class loyalty, commitment to African liberation & internationalism, in the frontline state of Mozambique, as he supported and stood in solidarity with South African liberation forces led by the ANC, for the defeat of colonial and apartheid rule, to usher in freedom and democracy. We salute the undying spirit of this great freedom fighter, revolutionary, and leader of the Mozambican liberation movement, FRELIMO. Long live the undying revolutionary spirit of Cde President Samora Machel, Long live!

On 19 October 1977, the apartheid regime banned newspapers and detained journalists to silence scrutiny. We continue to honour the courage of those journalists by defending the freedom to report, investigate and ask difficult questions. That freedom carries a clear obligation for leadership: to listen, to answer and to be held accountable. Today, President Cyril Ramaphosa engages with journalists on this historic occasion. Because the public’s right to know must be met with a willingness to answer. #VoteAnc2026 #Letsbuildbettercommunities
