The model consists of two parts. One is the dynamic flow through the cell, the other is modelling the transcription elongation rate that leads to delays in the labeling of more 5' sequences.
This was a fantastic endeavour, with David Steinbrecht @compcancerrtg leading the modelling following the bioinformatics ground work of Johannes Meisig. All experments were done by Igor Minia and Miha Milek from @landthaler_m 's group @MDC_Berlin.
