Beverly was the first Black woman to appear on the cover of American Vogue in August 1974, sparking the change of narrow beauty ideals of fashion forever.
Since her trailblazing cover, Beverly has appeared on over 500 magazine covers and is a fierce advocate for equal pay and representation in the fashion industry. And she was extremely supportive of @tyrabanks in Tyra’s early modeling years in NYC.
