Fact checking racist trolls favourite "Blacks sold Blacks" meme:
1. Tinubu wasn't Nigerian, for Nigeria didn't exist.
2. "Sale of her fellow Africans". Africa wasn't a unifying identity then.
3. "Monopolised coastal trade routes" - put the crack pipe down.
An apology for slavery would be welcome, but long overdue. It should be the beginning of a conversation about repair.
I joined LBC to discuss Britain’s responsibility for slavery and its enduring consequences.

Basic human decency wouldn't permit me to be "very happy" if I was nominated for some trinket, knowing that it very needlessly costs someone their life.
When the story of Jason Arday is told in full and remembered in history, the British "Journalism" Awards will be ashamed.
Very happy to have been shortlisted in the Specialist Journalism category in this year's British Journalism Awards for my investigation into Cambridge University professor Jason Arday and the extensive plagiarism in his PhD thesis #BJA2026

This is, quite clearly, a troubled and malnourished woman. Our sister needs our help. What she got was some clout chasing uber-privileged politician (from a blatantly corrupt party nonetheless)
armed with a camera crew. Disgusting.

Dawn Butler is doing an essential job in leading the campaign against the insane proliferation of gambling shops, especially in economically challenged areas. Hence gambling's angry advocate goes on a baseless attack.
Here's a clearly drunken Dawn Butler- telling everyone, somewhat incoherently as we can understand, why they shouldn't be gambling
but getting shit faced? Well that's just people enjoying their fun, isn't it Dawn? She was out partying - and it appears it rather overran
But in a talentless panel-this wasn't the worst moment
Honestly never thought I’d hear a Labour Foreign Secretary say this. 🍉✊🏿❤️
Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband: 'I want to say to the millions of people in this country and indeed elsewhere, who have been moved and outraged by the plight of the Palestinian people. We hear you. You were right'

You are utterly shameless.
Quite literally beyond shame.
After six wonderful years at UK Music, I'm joining Palantir UK as Senior Vice President.
Palantir is the most interesting company on the planet, doing work of real consequence: helping Britain and its allies defend themselves, helping police protect our citizens and helping NHS staff get patients treated and home sooner.
London is comfortably its largest centre outside the US, home to more than one in six employees, the highest proportion among the world's largest technology companies.
We have challenges. Some criticism is propaganda. Some raises legitimate questions about large technology companies and sovereign control. Both require answers.
Part of my role will be to correct false information while working with our engineers to ensure privacy, security and respect for sovereignty are at the heart of everything we do.
If we don’t want our democracy to be bought by billionaires, we need to fund it ourselves.
State funding for political parties may not be popular but the alternative is a US-style money focused system.
He who pays the piper picks the tune.

As Chair of the London PLP, I have written to Reform Chairman Lee Anderson on behalf of London @ukLabour MPs following Zia Yusuf’s vile and racist attack on Cllr Sagal Abdi-Wali.
He must retract his remarks and apologise. There is no place for racism in our politics.

“It worked, boom.”
That’s Nigel Farage celebrating a Reform UK plot to break election law - by having a US company secretly pay for three influential political polls that benefitted the party.
Earlier in the investigation, Reform’s Head of Policy James Orr and senior advisor Dan Jukes arranged for a Verbatim reporter to pay for the polls through a US company. Orr and Jukes believed the firm was run by the reporter’s American father.
Mr Farage was filmed by undercover reporters from @Verbatim_Media as part of a year-long investigation that Channel 4 News has thoroughly checked and verified.
This meeting took place in his Clacton constituency in July - when Mr Farage was fighting a by-election he called after separate allegations about his finances.
