Tomorrow’s engineers, scientists, and tech innovators deserve a seat at the table 💡 Too often, decisions about young people’s futures are made without them. Mission 44’s Chiara De Luca and Deshni Pyndiah explore why philanthropy needs to move from designing solutions for young people to building them with young people. Because shaping the future of STEM starts with listening to those who will lead it. Read the blog: mission44.org/tomorrows-inno…

One year of partnership. A growing world of opportunity. 🌏 Together with @IBM, we’re working to help more young people access the skills, experiences, and networks they need to explore careers in STEM through tools and programmes such as @IBM's SkillsBuild. From Miami to Silverstone to Austin, our first year together has created opportunities for young people to get closer to these industries. This film looks back at our time in Miami and celebrates the young people at the heart of the partnership so far - here’s to what comes next! 🚀 Want to stay up to date with our work, partnerships, and opportunities for young people? What does it really mean to give young people a meaningful role in shaping the decisions that affect them? Mission 44 Youth Advisor Sandip joined us at Labour Party Conference in Liverpool - his first party conference - bringing his own experiences and perspective to conversations on AI, devolution, and community-led change. His biggest takeaway? Meaningful youth voice has to go beyond representation. Young people need genuine opportunities to contribute, challenge ideas, and help shape what happens next. In our latest blog, Sandip reflects on three days of conversations, the questions he’s taking away, and why young people shouldn’t be the exception when it comes to having a seat at the table. 🔗 Read Sandip’s reflections: mission44.org/mission-44-you…

What needs to change to better support young people’s mental health? For #YouthMentalHealthDay, we put this question to our Youth Advisors. Their messages are clear: young people deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported. Today, and every day, we’re making space for their voices - and the changes they want to see 💛

This #NationalInclusionWeek, we’re celebrating what’s possible when opportunity is opened up across motorsport 🏎️ Together with our partners @F1, @MtrsportAcademy, @GirlsOnTrackUK, @AFBE_UK, @DrivenByUs, @RAEngNews, and our wider community, we’re driving opportunity in motorsport. From the race track to the many careers behind it, we’re working to help more young people see that there’s a place for them in the industry. Because motorsport’s future should be shaped by talent from every background. More access. More opportunity. More inclusion in motorsport. 🏁

This #NationalInclusionWeek, the theme is 'Build Trust. Navigate Change.' - a reminder that inclusion takes more than good intentions. It takes action, accountability, and a commitment to keep moving forward. And that action must start by listening to young people. At Mission 44, we believe a more inclusive world of work starts in the classroom. That’s why our work spans classroom to career, and why we’re committed to giving young people a platform to share what needs to change. Speaking directly to school leaders, policymakers, and others with the power to shape a more inclusive education system, Brayan shared his perspective on what meaningful inclusion looks like for young people. His was one of many young voices we heard - voices that should be at the heart of the decisions that affect their education and their futures. Read our Ambitious About Inclusion report and explore the actions we can take together to turn ambition for a more inclusive education system into change 👉 bit.ly/4h4S7px

Young people’s voices and lived experiences must be part of the conversation about creating a more inclusive education system. Today, Mission 44 Youth Advisor Faysal has a letter published in @guardian, sharing his personal experience of internal exclusion and its impact on young people. Responding to recent reporting on the rise of internal exclusion in England’s secondary schools, Faysal offers an important perspective on what these measures can mean for the pupils experiencing them. We’re proud to see Faysal’s voice and perspective reaching a national audience. Read his letter in The Guardian: theguardian.com/education/20…

We’re excited to announce Dame Hayaatun Sillem as the new Chair of Mission 44’s Board of Trustees. Dame Hayaatun has been part of our story since the very beginning. She co-chaired The Hamilton Commission with our founder Sir @LewisHamilton, the findings of which helped lay the foundations for Mission 44, and she has served on our Board since we launched. Her appointment comes at an exciting moment for Mission 44, as we grow our work in the UK and internationally to build a fairer future for young people. We’re delighted to have Hayaatun leading our Board into this next chapter. Read more: mission44.org/dame-hayaatun-…

New school year, new possibilities 🎒 As young people head back to school, we’re reminded of what education should be: a place where every student feels they belong, their voice matters, and they have the support to thrive. At Mission 44, we’re working with young people and partners to build a more inclusive education system - one where every young person can dream the impossible. Here’s to the year ahead... 🌟 📸 Throwback to visiting our partners at an @Oasis_UK Academy school in South London, where we spoke with students about careers in science, technology, engineering, and maths, and their aspirations for the future.
