No betting site has anyone’s probability of victory - at least not on purpose. The platforms respond to money moving, which moves when people take an input and act on it. That input is almost always polling, and I have a suspicion sometimes loads of money from people we can’t see looking to generate posts exactly like this one I’m responding to. Sometimes in blowout blue states you get 98 to 2 splits. Those coincide with probabilities. If I do enough to convince people my phone won’t hit the ground if I drop it, then they may move away from 100 to 0 odds and be wrong. A great example in politics is when Harris supposedly led IA by 3. The markets went insane for Harris because IA like that means something in WI, MN, rest of Midwest. People were responding to Ann Selzer’s rigged poll. But anyone who knows data realizes Harris had roughly a zero chance of carrying Iowa and it was obvious to her campaign because they never even farted in its general direction. So no, there is not a 61% probability Talarico wins. His shares are worth 61 cents right now because people have driven that market in that direction because of polling. Pollsters are currently herding the race to the right after having realized they’d never work again leaving the race at 5-6 points (500,000-600,000 votes margin). Some are choosing exact ties, and some are staying with MOE while still showing Talarico ahead because they don’t want to miss out on “we called it right!” if lightning strikes and Talarico wins while others called it. There is little glory calling the party that always wins the likely winner and people will forget. He has a pathway but it requires a ton to go right without one piece falling out from under him. I would think this would be easy enough for people to understand, but then again, I’d be giving people too much credit. People can’t comprehend that most of the bettors favoring Talarico are from blue states and think Austin represents Texas for anything more than the largest concentration of deranged whackjobs in the state.
Kalshi has Talarico's probability of victory at 61% versus Paxton at 39%. Polls have it closer, almost all of them within the margin of error. What's astounding to me, given that this is Texas, is how much Talarico would be leading if not for Musk's infusion, because of how bad a candidate Paxton is, AND -- how self-centered, thin-skinned, and stupid Trump was to endorse Paxton, which made him the nominee. And it's that last part, the fact that when Paxton loses, it is ALL ON TRUMP, that has MAGA and its grifting influencers in a panic.

History tells you the most likely case. Democrats have an edge to take the house but it isn’t as high as it should be because of redistricting and also because there are a handful of first-tier automatic flips I don’t think they’re going to flip because the DSA candidates were nominated. The Senate is different because it has more traction to presidential baselines and not all seats are up. Democrats have to climb massive mountains to flip it. Then there are state level races for governor and legislature that can’t be predicted using national trends. Some things will be good. Other things will suck. Midterms are about survival. Take it or leave it.
Replying to @RealSKeshel
I have no idea how the midterms will turn out; historically the Democrats should wipe the floor. My head can't wrap around this outcome. Therein lies the fear. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Let me go ahead and warn you. If you’re emotionally invested in the TX Senate race, you are in for at least a few solid days of gaslighting, doom, and negativity. Closely manage your mutes and blocks and pay attention to where the votes are coming from. The attached is a map I’ve made describing the county dispositions of Texas. They are indisputable. There are Essentially five county types in the modern state. Original MAGAverse (Crimson) - based on where even the great O’Rourke was unable to penetrate in 2018, and on a long string of real results, these counties pile up massive margins. Every batch of votes here is good for the GOP ticket, and the idea is to run up turnout. The last time Texans were afraid of a Democrat win (2018), many of these counties produced 85-90% of their 2016 presidential vote count. Regular Red (Pink) - these counties are going to be Republican wins, but they will likely give back some presidential margin. Montgomery and Brazoria are the largest in this group. High turnout here is still good for Paxton. Big Blue Four (Blue) - Democrats have to max out these counties and get huge margins. Harris (Houston), Dallas, Bexar (San Antonio), and Travis (Austin). The media will focus on “record breaking” turnout in these. Dallas will probably give Talarico trouble mobilizing the black vote, as well as Houston. San Antonio and Harris will probably show improvement from 2016-18 for Paxton with working-class Latinos. Every batch of votes from Travis is only good for Talarico. Slipperies (Purple) - These counties had big movement for O’Rourke in 2018. I think Paxton will win two of them, so the mission here is margin control. Talarico needs to move these a lot and will want to flip Collin. New Trumpian Empire (Yellow) - South and West Texas. More than 300,000 total presidential margin moved in these from 2016 to 2024. Talarico will lose a lot of O’Rourke’s raw margin in El Paso County. The increase of GOP support with Hispanic voters was not something the O’Rourke campaign had to worry about in 2018 and is being discounted this year. In a nutshell- In order to win, this is what Talarico needs: *Poor turnout in the crimson *Party turncoats in the pinks *Massive surge to polls in the blues *Betomania in the purples *Massive reversion of the Latino vote in the yellows, back to 2016 presidential level And THAT would be enough for a TILT margin. If the crimson votes in big numbers, the yellow will offset the purples and blues.

When I say that women lack the concept of an honorable enemy, this is what I’m talking about. Obviously a lot of the Democrats’ new vindictiveness is Trump derangement, but the Great Feminization is part of the story, too. Men understand that the other guy is a professional just like me, and we should have an open fight by fair rules and both go home at the end of the day. For women, conflict isn’t over until the other side is gone and they never have to talk to them again. Men believe in hierarchy, so a fight is about establishing dominance within the hierarchy and making the other guy subordinate. Women don’t, everything is egalitarian and consensus-driven, so if you do get conflict, the only possible outcome is total exclusion from the group. It makes sense that the Democratic Party is abandoning old-fashioned ideas about honorable conflict as it becomes more dominated by women.

🚨 WOW! Sec. Scott Bessent came with receipts and MIC DROPPED Kristen Welker and Zelensky trying to paint Trump as a Putin flunky "Zelensky does NOT criticize his European partners...the Europeans are FINANCING the Russian war machine. The U.S. imports $4 billion of Russian products, 1.8 billion of that is fertilizer. The Europeans, the import more than **10 TIMES** that!" 🔥🔥🔥 "The UK in May WAIVED their embargo on diesel and jet fuel made with RUSSIAN crude. Where's the OUTRAGE for the rest of the world?!" Imagine thinking you know more than Bessent on issues like this. Trump is allowing some sale of diesel to help lower American prices. Europe has been buying Russian oil for MONTHS AND MONTHS despite Trump repeatedly asking them to stop The EU is still the biggest buyer of Russian LNG on Earth, taking 49% of all Russia's exports.

More than a "mistake". Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder killed nuclear, approved Nord Stream, then left to be chairman of Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft three weeks later. I hate qualifying arguments like this, but - everyone knows I am about as pro-Ukraine/anti-Russian as it gets. That regularly leads to friction between me and other Republicans, even ones who otherwise align 99%. With that said, whining from Europeans and the American left about America buying $1B in diesel fuel from Russia is so out of touch with reality. The EU has spent over $200B on Russian fuel and is on-track to buy hundreds of billions more. Most of that was purchased by wealthy EU members who can absolutely afford alternatives. xitter.cf/PalmerLuckey/status/20…

The past few days, I got my hands on thousands of new transcripts and hundreds of recordings, thanks to leads from @SKDoubleDub33 and @iamlisalogan . You've heard that the DSA is proposing structural reforms to America, including abolishing the Senate and imposing term limits. What you not have heard is - there is an operational plan to put it all into action. If the Democratic Party sweeps 2026, then DSA will become "foot soldiers" in constant clashes with the administration to cross a "red line" or invoke a "doomsday scenario" - meaning, President Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, probably sometime in 2027. Then, a lot of coordinated responses kick off, including delegitimizing the federal government itself and handing that legitimacy to Democratic governors. 2028 then becomes a vote on whether to keep America governance as-is or to burn it all down to appease a "young and brown" demographic. The mysterious group who's been coordinating 50501, Indivisible, and coordinating the NoKings protests is called "United Democracy Alliance" and their intellectual leader is Erica Chenoweth who came up with the 3.5% rule of nonviolent regime change. Patience. I know I've hyped this more than anything else. It's genuinely the biggest discovery I've had. This is an enormous archive. This is only the beginning.

Annabel Richter was a 19 year old FIT student. She was fed fentanyl by a man named Moises Friere who told her it was cocaine. Friere knew what he was doing — he gave the drugs to two female students and didn’t take any himself. While Annabel was overdosing, Friere stripped off her clothes, took photos of her naked body, and then raped her instead of calling for help. Because of what he did, she is dead. There are no “I am Jane Doe” rallies for Annabel Richter. There is no daily coverage of her death on CNN. There are no New York Times investigations creating timelines of her last day. Unless you read local crime news in New York City, you will not have heard about this case. Why is Cornell’s Jane Doe of so much more interest to mainstream news than FIT’s Annabel Richter? Perhaps because news loves to create narratives about predatory white male college students and refuses to make national-news villains of men like Friere, who commit most of the actual crime in places like New York City. The NYT and CNN aren’t lying when they do 50 stories about Jane Doe and zero about Annabel Richter. They’re just exercising editorial judgment about which parts of the news you need to hear.

At a candidate forum this morning, @JessicaReinmann was caught sending the questions and my answers to Cait’s team. Putting aside the fact that Cait needs advance notice of the questions and how to answer them, despite the host saying neither candidate had them in advance, my question for @CaitforNewYork is do you agree with Jessica on her preference of MAGA over DSA? I’m sure everyone at the synagogue holding this morning’s forum wants to know. @TimmyFacciola_

CHAOS INC. — Our @FoxNews Digital investigation is out: France's riots this weekend are part of a wider international narrative of rebellion — a kind of "Chaos Inc." — amplified by a transnational network of communist and socialist organizations stretching from Europe to Asia, Australia, Africa and South America and North America. On @foxandfriends in a few to discuss. My Fox News Digital investigation has identified 54 organizations and movements in France's October student protests and their wider network of supporters and international amplifiers, including communist parties, revolutionary socialist groups, labor unions, environmental activists, Muslim student advocates, Palestinian-solidarity organizations and international media outlets. Of the 54 organizations identified in the October protest ecosystem, 16 — or only about one in three — are student or youth organizations, including communist youth groups and a Muslim student association. The remaining 38 include adult-led communist groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary-left organizations, advocacy groups and international propaganda outlets. Fox News Digital has learned an international coalition of 28 communist and socialist youth and organizations are galvanizing students and youth for a coordinated strike across 12 countries in Europe under the slogan "Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars!" They are calling for walkouts, demonstrations, assemblies, blockades and occupations. foxnews.com/world/whos-who-i…
