You said taxpayers should fund sex-change surgeries for prisoners and voted to make it easier for sex offenders to get off the registry. Try harder.

For years, politicians looked at Iowans' jobs and shipped them overseas, then opened the border so cheap labor could take the ones that were left. Not anymore. Today the largest steel plant in America is coming to Lee County, with more than 1,700 jobs paying more than $49 an hour. Iowa jobs for Iowans.

Log Cabin Days Parade in Indianola got canceled due to rain but we checked out the Village & Historical Museum with a 1921 Warren County Settlers Picnic photo and couldn’t miss the farmers market.

Des Moines County is fired up to back the blue, secure the border, and keep Iowa free!

In Iowa we are proud of our past, and will always fight to preserve it. So I couldn't miss the kickoff of the campaign to rebuild the Old Fort Madison!

We fought to bring historic rural health funding home to Iowa, and now $15.9 million is being put to work expanding cancer screenings, prevention and care in our rural communities. As a doctor, I know early detection saves lives. I’m grateful to see these resources reaching Iowans who need them.
