I had high hopes for what used to be Podcastle and is now called @Async_platform, but frankly, it's becoming unreliable. Sort it out guys! cc. @ArtoYeritsyan
Jensen has a recurring word: “overthink”. First he said it to the Brits in London. Then he said it to the Germans.
To Brits: “I think you overthink things”
To Germans: “Maybe it’s the European way to overthink everything.”
His general message is: Just get out there and do stuff.

I think the question for many advertisers and brands trying to associate themselves with startups is this: Do you want to be aligned with media companies that are suck-ups? Or do you want to be respected?
Honest question: Is disinformation and the influence of state actors (Russia, China, NK, etc) in the “interests” of startups and tech entrepreneurship? And who would argue that it is?
Replying to @mikebutcher
I have, many times.

My analysis on @Pathfounders: Jensen’s Paris, London, Berlin tour is hoovering up useful startups... for Nvidia
Nvidia's latest UK and French cheques landed on a portfolio already holding under $200m between them, and all (surprise!) neatly fit into Nvidia’s strategic direction

My comment on @Pathfounders: Nvidia is love-bombing European startups. But there’s a steely-eyed vision behind it all
There's method to this apparent 'noblesse oblige'.

I have a feeling that the EU and European politicians generally are not getting behind this because it’s been run as a niche campaign with very little wider grass-roots political backing. It’s failed to bring in large organisations like trade unions (“let’s make new companies for workers”?) or incumbent business groups. Just my impression.
At this point the whole EU Inc negotiations are so lost in the details that everyone forgot the main goal: Creating a standard.
Basically, allow founders to raise quickly globally and use stock options to hire competitively.
Let’s say it quite clearly:
1) If EU Inc isn’t providing a standard it’s useless. We already got 30+ legal entities in Europe. Experienced founders use Delaware Inc already because of this.
2) If EU Inc doesn’t fix stock options Delaware Inc is still the better option.
I understand the there are complex details and people are worried about loopholes. But you can’t lose the actual goal of it because of it.
An EU Inc that doesn't provide a standard is pointless. Nobody will care about intricacies of compromises reached in political committees if the market can't use the outcome.
If you are in contact with your political leaders (prime ministers, presidents, et al) please reach out to them. Or to founders/investors in your network who might have that access.

When is @eldsjal going to start mentioning how European pension funds don’t invest in European VC? And are not incentivised by European governments. And invest instead in US VC? This is not hard.

Jensen in London, with hilarious background Londoner chatter “Are you staying here for a bit?” “I don’t know where the van is”.
