Welcome to the One Stop Shop 🥇🛑💈

One thing that stood out in the exhibition against Rutgers was the improved strength and confidence going downhill from Ian Jackson. Reports were he added some muscle and it showed with multiple runs into the lane and finishing through contact with balance. Where as last season you saw a lot of off-balance circus shots when he was trying to attack a defender. BIG improvement showed in the Rutgers game, let’s see if that continues against #7 Texas this Sunday! #SJUBB

Like I said in my article, Babacar Sane is one of the most entertaining players you’ll watch at the NCAA level. He’s just such a freak on the court and he’s showing he’s a man amongst boys right now. #SJUBB

Hot start for Babacar Sane and Tounde Yessoufou starting with all 10 of SJU’s points. You can just tell that Sane is gonna be a problem physically to matchup with. #SJUBB

The THREE things I’m going to be keeping my eye on this game against Drexel: 1. Has Ruben Prey’s coordination improved? 2. Who’s gonna step up as a leader on this team? Ian Jackson? Prey? Tounde? 3. How’s the depth gonna hold up? Is Avery Brown, Cuffe and Leftis gonna be good enough to hold up agaisnt top teams? #SJUBB

For me going to the game I think the biggest name to pay attention to is Theo Edema. Obviously Prey is gonna play a BIG chunk of the center minutes but how are the backups gonna play when he gets in foul trouble or needs a break? Edema’s role is gonna be HUGE this season and excited to watch him play tonight. #SJUBB

If you don’t know me yet, I’m Matthew LoPuzzo, and basketball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. From covering the Rider Broncs and the MAAC to now covering my hometown team, the St. John’s Red Storm. ❤️‍🔥 Follow along as I bring you live insights, in-depth player analysis, and breakdowns of the new faces on this roster, starting with today’s matchup against Drexel. Whether it’s here on X or in my articles, my goal is to bring you the best coverage possible. I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity and grateful to @rumbleSBN for giving me a platform to showcase my work. A new season. A new opportunity. Time to get to work. LET’S GO JOHNNIES! 🔴⚪️ #SJUBB

QUINN ELLIS HAS BEEN DEEMED ELIGIBLE!! LETS GO JOHNNIES #SJUBB

THE JOHNNIES PLAY BASKETBALL THIS WEEK! Can’t wait to be covering the game on Wednesday against Drexel! First game ever covering the Johnnie’s and I can’t be more excited. #SJUBB

Per Barttorvik, St. John’s is currently ranked as the 7th team in the country with Adj Efficiencies rankings of… Offense: 9th Defense 7th Granted this is the best case scenario with all the eligibility issues right now. November 2nd can’t come soon enough! #SJUBB

5 ⭐️ Malachi Jordan is currently the 16th ranked recruit for the class of 2027 and now receiving attention from Rick Pitino and the Johnnies. The 6’6” forward is a very athletic two-way wing with elite ability to get downhill and finish. Already receiving offers from Kansas, Alabama and UConn. Jordon plays a lot like a former Huskie in Stephon Castle and reportedly UConn has reportedly given Jordan the vision of coming in and playing a Castle-like role. Would be a BIG get for the 2027 Red Storm and would give Rick Pitino an asset that can basically do it all on both ends of the court. #SJUBB

You gotta be excited for year 3 Ruben Prey. The flexibility he gives St. John’s at the 5 is gonna open up a lot of space for the Johnnies to operate. If Ruben can improve his hands he can easily be a top 20 big in the county. Except big things! #SJUBB

St. John’s men’s basketball 2026-27 player preview: Reed Bailey Take a look into my insight about Bailey’s up and down collegiate career and how Rick Pitino can rejuvenate his game. #SJUBB rumbleinthegarden.com/st-joh…

We take the disrespect and turn that into motivation number 11. Be special kid 🤩 Let’s prove these haters wrong #SJUBB

BREAKING: St John’s lands Keyshawn Hall from Auburn!! WHAT A SIGNING! Hall averaged 19 PPG in the SEC last season and will be a day one impact player for the Johnnies. WOW MAN JUST WOW! This St.John’s team is gonna be SCARY! #SJUBB

Fun little nugget: In 2024-25, Reed Bailey was one of only two players nationally 6’10” or taller to record at least 600 points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists. The other was Auburn’s Johni Broome (SEC Player of the Year) #SJUBB
