ICYMI: One word found its way into just about every conversation I had with #Mizzou women's basketball, today, ahead of the 2026-27 season: competitiveness. It's a quality that's defined this team since the first summer practice. I dove into what drives that edge ⬇

#Mizzou women's basketball coach Kellie Harper got chills telling us what stands out about this year's roster: "This is a team that wants to attack adversity, this is a team that will pull together and this is a team that is going to be united in their goal on the court of winning." I also asked Harper what her goals are for year two. NCAA Tournament is always a place they want to be, but it's really about setting goals throughout the year & being the best version of this team ⬇

We got to take in part of #Mizzou women's basketball's practice today & I'll tell you what, transfer guard McKenzie Mathurin (@mathurin2025) brings ENERGY. Coach Harper told us she wants to win & she's uber competitive. I asked Mathurin what she brings to this team: "I love taking those charges, I love diving on loose balls, like I'll go out and throw myself in the stands if I can save a ball."
