tZERO Named a 2026 Info-Tech Innovator of the Year Award Winner
tZERO’s transfer agent platform unifies traditional and tokenized share classes onto a single cap table with synchronized on-chain ownership records
tZERO Group, Inc. ("@tZERO"), the Infrastructure-as-a-Service company powering the tokenized economy, today announced it has been named a winner of the Innovator of the Year Award as part of the 2026 Info-Tech Awards. Presented by Info-Tech Research Group (@infotechRG), a global IT research and advisory firm, the award recognizes organizations that have implemented innovative technology initiatives to solve business challenges, improve operational efficiency and deliver results.
tZERO’s award centered on its transfer agent, developed to bring blockchain-based securities into the same process used to administer traditional shares. The platform connects to more than 20 blockchains and combines tokenization with established transfer agent functions, including ownership recordkeeping, compliance and corporate actions.
“Transfer agency still relies heavily on batch files and manual reconciliation, and tokenization can end up adding another ledger to manage,” said Chris Russell, EVP, Chief Technology & Security Officer at tZERO. “We built our platform so the official shareholder register and blockchain record are one book, not two to reconcile. Traditional and tokenized share classes sit on the same cap table, with compliance and corporate actions built into the workflow.”
Built as a modular platform with APIs, a white label platform, pluggable blockchain adapters and Halborn-audited smart contracts, the system processes standard transfer agent files on-chain with penny-level precision. It also automates certain corporate actions, including USDC dividend distributions and dividend reinvestment. Each record change is documented with before-and-after values, providing compliance teams with an audit trail. Issuers can manage cap tables, distributions and employee equity in one place, while investors and employees can access a self-service view of their holdings.
By using industry-standard transfer agent formats, tZERO’s platform allows institutions to incorporate tokenized securities administration into existing workflows. Offered through tZERO’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service model, its transfer agent and tokenization capabilities can be integrated through APIs and white label solutions, allowing institutional partners to expand their digital asset services without building the underlying technology and regulatory infrastructure themselves.

Speed, transparency, equity and equality of access.
@tZERO Chief Executive Officer @Alan_Konevsky discusses with @FINTECHTVglobal's @jd_durkin what tokenization can bring to financial markets and why machine-to-machine trading and financial interactions could make tokenization a natural fit for an AI-led economy.
And optionality . Solid work @Alan_Konevsky
Tokenization brings "speed, transparency, equity and equality of access" to markets, things not available in a traditional marketplace.
@Alan_Konevsky, CEO of @tZERO, tells @JD_Durkin it's also "naturally suited to enable an AI economy," as machine to machine trading and financial interactions keep growing.
A major milestone for @tZERO: we’re bringing our regulated broker-dealer capabilities to the Goldman Sachs Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund (FTIXX), facilitating access for qualified U.S. participants through the market-leading @Lynq_Network Real-Time Settlement Network that we power.
The addition of FTIXX expands the institutional treasury and cash management capabilities available across Lynq and demonstrates what modern market infrastructure can enable: bringing established institutional investment products together with real-time settlement infrastructure designed for both traditional and digital assets.
This is exactly the convergence tZERO is built for: regulated broker-dealer services meeting the infrastructure demands of modern financial markets.
Thank you to Goldman Sachs and Jerald David and the Lynq team.

To our Jewish friends and communities observing Yom Kippur, may this sacred day bring reflection, forgiveness and renewal. May your fast be meaningful and the year ahead be filled with health, hope and peace.

The CLARITY Act should pass. Not because every digital asset is legitimate, every token has value or every participant deserves our trust. It should pass because this market already exists, millions of Americans are participating in it and regulatory confusion is not consumer protection.
For too long, businesses and consumers have been forced to operate in a system where the rules are often established after the fact through enforcement actions and lawsuits. The CLARITY Act would begin defining which digital assets are securities, which are commodities, whether the SEC or CFTC has jurisdiction and what exchanges, brokers and other intermediaries must do to operate legally. That means registration, meaningful disclosure, protection of customer assets, management of conflicts of interest and real accountability when someone commits fraud.
For everyday Americans, this is about much more than buying and selling cryptocurrency. It is about the future of ownership, access and the movement of money.
Tokenization can allow ownership rights in real world assets such as stocks, bonds, funds, real estate interests, intellectual property and other assets to be represented on a secure digital ledger. Over time, that could make it possible to divide certain assets into smaller, more affordable pieces, settle transactions faster, automate payments and maintain a transparent record of ownership. It could give smaller investors access to opportunities that have historically been available primarily to large institutions and wealthy individuals. It could also help entrepreneurs and growing businesses reach new sources of capital.
But tokenization is not magic, and a token is not valuable simply because it exists on a blockchain. Its value must come from a legitimate underlying asset or enforceable right. Investors need to know exactly what they own, who controls the asset, what fees they are paying, whether they have voting or income rights, where their money is held and what happens if the platform fails. Technology should make ownership clearer. It should not create a new way to disguise risk.
There are also legitimate concerns surrounding the legislation. Ethics rules governing elected officials and their families must be strong, enforceable and applied regardless of political party. State attorneys general must retain meaningful authority to pursue fraud. Anti-money-laundering requirements, cybersecurity standards and custody protections must be real. Congress must ensure that companies cannot escape securities laws simply by attaching the word token to an investment. Consumers should receive understandable disclosures, not hundreds of pages designed to protect lawyers instead of investors.
Those issues should be fixed. They should not become an excuse to abandon the work.
America has a choice. We can establish responsible rules here that protect consumers while allowing legitimate innovation to develop, or we can force the technology, jobs and investment overseas while Americans continue participating through platforms operating beyond the reach of our regulators.
Doing nothing does not stop digital assets or tokenization. It simply leaves good actors without a dependable rulebook and consumers with fewer protections against bad actors.
The CLARITY Act may not be perfect, but the answer is to strengthen it, finish it and pass it. Innovation and consumer protection are not opposing ideas. Done correctly, each makes the other possible. @votetimscott
Today’s failure to advance the CLARITY Act is a missed opportunity. Digital assets are not going away. Congress must resolve the legitimate ethics concerns, establish clear rules, protect consumers and keep innovation and jobs in America. Regulatory uncertainty is not a strategy.

Lord, hold close the families who lost loved ones on 9/11. Bring comfort to hearts that still ache and peace to those carrying grief. Help us honor those we lost by caring for one another with love and compassion. We will never forget. Amen
