During an evidence session of the APPG on Coronavirus today, @chrischirp told us indications show Omicron poses a greater risk to children than Delta. I pressed the Secretary of State on what his plans are to protect our children.

Government is in denial about the true scale of the winter crisis. Facing a backlog of care due to the pandemic, flu and growing #COVID19 cases again, GPs need to know what the government is doing to prevent another winter spike of Covid patients. bbc.co.uk/news/health-589045…
Today's report on the UK government's handling of #COVID19 covers much of what we already knew and reinforces the urgent need for a statutory #publicinquiry. If you agree, sign the petition below and share widely: marchforchange.uk/coronaviru… #ToryCovidCatastrophe

Last week I spoke to @DArcyTiP on Today in Parliament about how @AppgCoronavirus supports vaccinating 12 to 15 year olds. But we're also calling on UK Govt to donate vaccines to the COVAX scheme ahead of giving boosters to healthy over-50s in the UK.

I spoke to the @AP about the Government's winter plan and their record of doing too little, too late. @AppgCoronavirus will continue its work scrutinising their response and making key recommendations - we must avoid repeating the same mistakes. apnews.com/article/coronavir…

The path out of this pandemic is clear, but we can only get out together. The most urgent step right now is for well-supplied countries to donate COVID-19 vaccines to low- and middle-income countries. #DonateDosesNow #UNGA #COVIDSummit
