The weather's looking a bit dodgy out there, people! ☔️ But play thrives on adaptation. If the lava turns into a flood, we'll build a volcano-shaped ark instead. See you there 4.30pm! #ParliamentSquareIsLava #InternationalDayOfPlay #Article31 #PlayMatters

📰 Our latest piece with @themjcouk delves into the effects of an increasingly 'child-free' inner London. The reality? The capital’s hollowing out is pushing more children into deprivation. Read the article in full: themj.co.uk/london-city-incr…

London is a city becoming increasingly unequal for those raising children

London’s ‘child-free’ centre is creating an increasingly unequal experience of growing up in the capital, says Indi Miller.

It's a pivotal week for play! As MPs @APPGonPlay meet specifically to discuss staffed #adventureplaygrounds a new £500k philanthropic fund to support them has been launched. Yet local decisions under scrutiny in #Greenwich tell a more fragile story. londonplay.org.uk/our_news/a…

'Deplaytion'. London Play is quoted in this sad but accurate reflection of the systemic neglect of children’s right to play. It hits doubly hard with yesterday’s Greenwich vote to close or downgrade most staffed #adventureplaygrounds. newstatesman.com/politics/so…

The hidden cost of "deplaytion"

Ban social media for kids all you like – but don't ignore their crap playgrounds

We have written to the four London MPs who are members of the @APPGonPlay meeting this evening, appealing to them to use their leadership to prevent the closure of #Greenwich #adventureplaygrounds & the dangerous precedent this sets @Jas_Athwal @RupaHuq @danfrancis02 @NDIronsMP

Help! Greenwich childhoods are under threat of being SERIOUSLY and permanently downgraded. Proposals would replace 3 #adventureplaygrounds with standard fixed equipment and close another. This is not improvement. Object. Once they are gone they are gone. adventure-play-centres.commo…
