Some leftists attack Mamdani.
Some centrists attack El-Sayed.
Republicans sit back and laugh their heads off.
The idea of (peacefully) partitioning the US sounds good on paper, but there's no way to gracefully draw the border. Millions of Republicans would be trapped in the blue states and millions of democrats would be trapped in the red states, especially black democrats in the south.
The bellicose chauvinism of my fellow Americans is a tragedy. I really hope that a real left-wing government takes power in the US eventually that stops terrorizing the global south, but failing that, we may have to (peacefully) partition the country.
The Gaza genocide is a moral stain on the US and the West as a whole. Most of the global south (not just the muslim world) recognizes it as a genocide, and even a few western countries like Ireland and Spain. The West can't claim to have "superior values" and act like this.

In this election, we have got to do two things.
First, we must end Republican control of Congress and finally hold Trump accountable.
Second, we must elect progressives who have the guts to take on the oligarchs and build a government that works for all.

I think I may actually just be a left-liberal. I am not satisfied with the mainstream democratic party at all, but I do believe in certain liberal principles like freedom of speech, consent of the governed etc.

The key to defeating the right and MAGA for good is to make young men, especially white men, feel welcomed and celebrated on the left. We need a masculine left that brings in young men. Otherwise they're going to learn how to be a man from scumbags like Andrew Tate.

I often wonder whether I'm really doing the right thing. I am filled with self-doubt. A lot of people in history thought they were doing the right thing and then committed atrocities. Then again, the fact that I'm doubting myself at all is a good sign.
