Our heritage is part of the American story. 🇺🇸
This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the generations who came before us, the families building their American Dream today, and the freedom that makes it all possible.
This year is also very special one. As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, LIBRE is proud to celebrate 15 years of helping Latinos add their own chapters to that story.
¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! 🎉
Socialism is pura mentira
Myrka Dellanos doesn't mince words when talking about socialism.

Miami knows what’s at stake. 🇺🇸
We closed out Hispanic Heritage Month with Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart (@MarioDB) and State Rep. Tom Fabricio (@TPFabricio) talking about how we can lower the cost of living, strengthen small businesses, fight socialism, and keep the American Dream within reach.
For many families in South Florida, socialism isn’t an abstract idea. They’ve seen firsthand what happens when government takes more control and freedom disappears.
That’s why protecting economic freedom, opportunity, and the ability to build your own future matters so much here.
Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates everything Latinos contribute to America. The best way to honor that legacy is to keep the American Dream alive for generations to come. 🇺🇸
Jacksonville showed up! 🇺🇸🌴
Latino families and neighbors joined us for our latest Capitol Connect to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and talk about one of the biggest challenges facing our families today: the rising cost of living.
Rep. John Rutherford (@RepRutherfordFL) joined LIBRE Executive Director Sandra Benítez to talk about the solutions that can help families get ahead, from lowering taxes and cutting unnecessary red tape to expanding housing and creating more opportunities for people to work, save, and build their American Dream.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate everything our community contributes to this country. It’s also a chance to keep pushing for policies that make it easier for families to prosper.
Gracias, Jacksonville! 🇺🇸
Imagine growing up being taught that Fidel Castro was above God. 🇨🇺
That's what Myrka Dellanos recalls about the indoctrination of children in communist Cuba.
From an early age, kids were taught to idolize Castro and see him as the ultimate authority.

“I'd rather die than continue living here.”
Those were the words of Myrka Dellano's cousin who was trapped in communist Cuba, desperate to escape a country where he couldn't even think freely.
Myrka Dellanos shares her family's experience with communism and recalls escaping Cuba during the 1980 Mariel boatlift.
A powerful reminder of just how much people were willing to risk for freedom. 🇨🇺🇺🇸

Thank you to the LIBRE Initiative for welcoming me to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and 15 years of advancing opportunity and empowering communities.
The American Dream is built on the freedom to start a business, pursue a career, and create a better future for the next generation. Our government should protect those opportunities, not stand in the way.
Congratulations to LIBRE on this incredible milestone!
