These verses of Scripture bring comfort. Today marks three years since the barbaric slaughter of October 7. Please pray for the families and friends of the precious people who were massacred. Please pray for healing and peace for the survivors. This world is busted and broken. Christians are being massacred in Nigeria, Uyghur Muslims are being tortured and killed in China, the citizens of Burma and Iran are being slaughtered by their own government. Persecution is escalating globally. Please pray. Racism of every kind, bigotry and antisemitism is not only evil, it’s ignorant and stupid. On a morning walk I stumbled upon this stone! It looks like a beautiful heart with a little piece broken off. This makes me think of a beautifully tender heart that was hurt. Years ago, during a difficult time, someone gave me advice I declined. This person said I needed to build callouses on my heart to prevent being hurt again. I told him I could never do that because if I can’t feel pain, I can’t feel love and joy.
