Here Are the Chiefs Stats: -17th in % of scoring drives aided by penalties for a first down in 2024 -8th in roughing the passer penalties called on defenders hitting Mahomes since 2018 -Tied for 1st in offensive holding penalties called against them with 31 in 2024 -Tied for 2nd fewest unnecessary roughness calls in their favor in 2024 with 2 -32 of 61 penalties called against the Chiefs in their last 9 playoff games have been when Patrick Mahomes was not on the field. So it’s not a Mahomes bias. I have seen some in the playoffs based stats that truly amount to the Chiefs being a more disciplined and fundamentally sound team than their more aggressive counterparts trying to knock them off. At the end of the day if you want to beat the Chiefs, you have to stop beating yourself and committing league backed and reviewed penalties in the championship moments of the game.
