My son Austin was visiting us this week and we made time to indulge in a pickleball session - so much fun! Seattle adventures with the family… In between my daughter’s football (soccer) games, we managed to stop by #pikeplacemarket …such a great area with so many interesting shops above ground and as you walk down below street level… We stopped into the original #starbucks cafe, where it all began for them ☕️ The BLMF book store is quite impressive with endless stacks of books 📚 and the famous GUM WALL is a sight indeed 👌 Fish throwing is also part of the entertainment 🐟 Enjoyed it all! Happy Birthday to my youngest son 🎂💥Today, he enters adult territory celebrating 18 years of living. Something different and refreshing! I ventured out last Thursday evening for the @sweaterfunk event at @barparttime in San Francisco. The Sweaterfunk crew has been serving up “all vinyl” sets since it started in 2008. Their sound is primarily Boogie, Modern Funk and Soul 🔊 When I arrived there was crowd already grooving and while I was there, I heard some favorites from Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan et al. It was impressive for a weeknight gathering and it was great to see people enjoying down-tempo and mid-tempo classics… I loved it! 💥 The Sweaterfunk curators are tasteful music selectors and they have a loyal following with several events taking place each year including their monthly on First Saturdays at the Knockout…If you’re not familiar with them (yet), look for one of their events and treat yourself to a quality party with quality music 🔊🕺🏻💃🏾 @theselecterdjkirk @guillermoesseff

Some moments from our SALTED event last Sunday at The Midway patio💥 We had an intimate gathering on Father’s Day with a group of dancing revelers 🕺🏻💃🏾 Roy Davis Jr and Mood II Swing (John Ciafone) both enlightened us with plenty of music highlights from classics to rare edits 🔊 Miguel treated us to his signature “Salted” sound and Franky and I took it from the beginning and handed it over with a “vibin’” crowd 👌 It was refreshing to detach from life’s daily grind with almost 8 hours of music good-ness with Roy, John, Miguel, Franky and our fans and friends with a welcome visit by @davidharness - thank you, THANK YOU ALL! 🙏 🙏 ❤️❤️ Photos by the one and only @harry.who Save the date - our next SALTED at The Midway will be on Sunday, October 11th which lands on a long holiday weekend with Indigenous People’s Day on Monday…
