I don’t ever want to be happy to be wrong. I want to be sad to be wrong and extremely happy when I’m right
Mila Kunis called Uber "the worst idea ever." Ashton Kutcher and his partner invested $500,000 in the company. By 2016, that stake was worth roughly $50 million, according to Forbes. In the video below, Kunis tells Stephen Colbert why she tried to talk her future husband out of investments like these. Her family left Soviet Ukraine in 1991, when she was seven. In Los Angeles, her father, a trained engineer, worked as a cab driver. Kutcher described Uber as a cab company where anyone could drive. He offered to order her a ride so she could try it. "You're going to put me in a car with a stranger? What is wrong with you?" Then he told her about Bitcoin. She asked, "Is it FDIC insured?". Kutcher replied: "No. That's the point. It's not." "I think this is a horrible idea," she recalled telling him. His response: "Cool, we're investing it." At the beginning of 2013, Bitcoin traded below $100. During the week of her interview in April 2021, it traded above $50,000. Kunis says she now books accommodation through Airbnb and takes Uber everywhere. "I've never been happier to be wrong."

It is really beautiful that this is also coming a few days before we turn five❤️ My heart is full. Thank you to everyone that has made Chowdeck what it is today. Customers. Riders. Vendors. Agents. Employees. Investors. Everyone #gratitude
Wow, if someone had told me the random idea we started in 2021 would be processing millions of orders monthly, it would have been impossible to believe. I am really honored to be selected as a global Endeavour entrepreneur, alongside my cofounders @ymlanre and @LohdLippi .

I’m listening to the @davidsenra’s episode with Alex Wang who mentioned Muse is the fastest consumer app of all times. I disagree. @LagosLifeApp IS the fastest growing consumer app of all time. Check it oit for yourself

Looking forward to speaking at AFSIC tomorrow in London, and joining conversations on Africa’s investment landscape, the opportunities ahead and what it takes to build and invest across the continent. If you’ll be there, would be great to connect!

Fundraising is already very difficult so as a founder, you shouldn’t spend the same amount of time on an investor investing $100k vs those investing $5k. Sadly, that’s the reality today and should change. Small checks should be automated while you dedicate attention to the larger ones
