Privatization = a scheme for opportunists and middlemen to suck a fat profit margin from a vital public service that’s already underbudgeted. And we wonder why costs go thru the roof on privatized services, even as quality of service plummets.
Vellesiya Wiley and Latoya Ferrell had stolen a pack of diapers. The women exited the store with Vellesiya's 1 year old Kohen, entered their vehicle and began to leave the parking lot. Officers drew their weapons, and Vellesiya Wiley lifted her son up to show the officers that a child was in the car. One officer fired into the vehicle, killing the baby as she held him. A bullet also wounded Ferrell.
Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch says the shooting ‘was justified’. Police shot two unarmed women with a baby accused of stealing diapers and the state called it justified.
If they can murder unarmed women and babies with no consequence, they can murder you, too. Don't think they won't.
