We are excited to endorse State Representative Angie Nixon for Florida’s Senate seat, a fearless voice fighting to invest in people, not endless wars. Angie advocates for an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and for the protection of Palestinian human rights.

Trump has smeared @IlhanMN with racism and lies for years, and he has repeatedly attacked Somali Americans and Minnesota's immigrant communities. This kind of abuse of government power and targeting of political opponents is exactly how fascists operate. We stand with Ilhan.
I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

Connie backed the San Francisco ceasefire resolution in 2024. She has called for a full arms embargo on Israel and endorsed the powerful local Oakland People’s Arms Embargo. She is outspoken in her calls for freedom, equality, and justice for Palestinians.

For the first time since 1987, San Francisco has an open and competitive race for Congress.  We can fill Nancy Pelosi’s seat with an elected official who will fight to stop arming Israel’s genocide. That’s why we’re endorsing Connie Chan.

ICE is out of control. There is reporting that they have shot yet another person in our streets during an operation in Marble Hill. We need justice for the victim and I will work in the state senate to hold those who harm New Yorkers accountable. From the Bronx to Queens, ABOLISH ICE.

Yesterday, an ICE agent opened fire in Marble Hill. They shot a member of our community in the neck while he was in his car. His five-year-old kid was in a child seat in the back of the car when ICE agents fired at least 7 rounds into it. This was in the middle of the afternoon, with children walking home from school and people heading home from work. Federal agents put every one of them in danger. When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence. As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path. And instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police. The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers. Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities. The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down. In this district, there are mothers who are afraid to send their kids to school, workers who are afraid to show up for their shifts, and people who won’t call for help anymore because they can’t be sure who will come. That’s what it means to have a violent militia operating in your community. You don’t feel safe walking down your own street.  For decades, we’ve been told ICE can be fixed with more oversight, better training, or reform. But you can’t reform an agency whose purpose is to terrorize immigrant families. You can’t train cruelty out of a system built to enact cruelty. ICE must be abolished. This moment demands that everyone step up. Elected officials at every level need to stop hedging and say it plainly: Abolish ICE now. Our city must enforce every sanctuary protection we have and city officials must ensure this cannot happen again.

"Why would you need courage to speak the truth?" Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay led the UN commission that found Israel guilty of genocide in Gaza. Governments must finally follow the commission's recommendations and impose an arms embargo and prosecute all perpetrators.
"The last thing I did is the report on Gaza naming what is happening there as genocide. One of the main reactions to that report [was] paying tribute to me for my courage.. why would you need courage to speak the truth?" Navi Pillay upon winning the 2026 Nobel peace prize

You did four AIPAC fundraisers in 24 hours. You want to send our tax dollars to support apartheid in the West Bank. I want to keep our tax dollars in MICHIGAN to rebuild schools on the West Side. I’M the one running to serve Michigan.
.@AbdulElSayed is more worried about Gaza than your gas prices. We need a Senator focused on Michigan. He’s running to be the Senator for Palestine.

Ahead of Netanyahu's speech, @DarializaforNY @HamawyForNJ @MelatKirosCO and @RepRabb joined 400 people holding a mass sit-in outside the UN demanding an end to the genocide and to US military funding to Israel. Next year, they're going to Congress. It matters who we elect.

It was wonderful to spend Rosh Hashanah last week with Missy and Elaine, two lifelong Michiganders who welcomed me into their home and taught me about the sweet and joyous meaning of Rosh Hashanah. We talked about the work we can do together to build a more just and peaceful future for our communities here in Michigan. Shana tova and shavua tov!
