Daily Nuggets: Heading Home Edition
1.) You can tell how someone really feels about themselves by how they talk about other people. Constant criticism of others? Self-hatred. Constant comparison? Insecurity. Generous with praise? At peace. Listen to what people say about others. It's a self-portrait.
2.) Technology usually makes patience worse. When clients can generate drafts, edit video, localize copy, and distribute content faster, human talent may be expected to fit into increasingly compressed production cycles. Speed will become valuable—but reliable speed, not frantic speed. The future belongs to people who can move quickly while still reading the email, naming the file correctly, and retaining basic mammalian judgment.
3.) Jags over the Texans in London, close, strongest plays of the day: Patriots, Bills, Chiefs. Picks that scare me but I’m going anyway: Panthers over the Eagles backup team, Bears over the Falcons, (lotta points in that one,) Colts. Who knows?: Ravens/Browns, Steelers/Bucs. Upset special: Cowboys with a healthy win over the Packers. Lots of points.
More pub night fun, and the final day of EURO VO Retreat XV in Dublin begins with DPN’s Mike Shallbetter and Casting Director Libby Clearfield!
