Update from visit to Westminster. Our fight and our cause is cross party. No time for political agendas. Therefore we have started to meet with each party and leader to ensure they are fully aware of the facts and what needs to happen. We were pleased to be invited to meet with @EdwardJDavey and our own MP @GideonJAmos on Tuesday. They took great time to listen, to comment and (hopefully) support. Thank you both. 🙏 📔⬇️ We await a date for @KemiBadenoch @Nigel_Farage @ZackPolanski Set to meet with the new PM and relevant cabinet ministers no later than September. If possible, can this post NOT become a political debate or shouting match. Solidarity 🙏 It’s important we are heard - properly. And ALL opinions have to be considered. 💚💛

Do you have £5.30 to spare? If you do, please sponsor this amazing fundraiser (#53 is Barney’s number, but more or less ££ gratefully received). ⬇️ These people have held us up (quite literally at times) over the past three years of horror. We’ve know them for over 15 years. We ‘met’ when Barney came home from nursery being ‘bitten’ by Tom. His new best friend!! The boys were like brothers ever since… 🫶Carol, Albert, Tom & Emily really are like family. The loss of our boy hit them hard. But what it did do was encourage them to think about themselves, their own lives and health. Carol and Albert have lost over 16 stone between them (not a needle in sight either!). 🥾Two years ago walking from the car to home was an effort. This weekend they are hiking over 50k in the ‘Race to the Stones’ ultra event to raise money for Barney’s foundation. 👏 Please applaud them; share if you can, and donate if you wish. Most of all; another reminder that there is more good than bad out there. However it often feels. 💚💛 justgiving.com/page/carol-sm…

So proud of you and brave to share your story. Barney would be so so proud too of his ‘annoying’ little brother. 💚💛 ‘I aged five years’: Nottingham victim’s brother on life after the attacks thetimes.com/article/cb63e33…

Wednesday at 9am. 📻🎧 ‘Life Changing’ @BBCRadio4 @BBCSounds @sianwilliams100 Huge honour and very humbled to be invited on to share my story. Hope it isn’t too hard a listen.💔 It did actually did help me to share, to reflect, to open up, and also to recognise that, by some miracle, I’m still standing; perhaps one day my words may offer a grain of comfort to anyone who also at times feel they cannot bear the weight of grief and loss. 💚💛

Thank you @Channel4News Next week will be the beginning of the reckoning. 💚💛 @MarkBorkowski @VictimsComm @hudgellsol @hundredfamilies Nottingham attacks inquiry: What state are UK mental health services in? channel4.com/news/nottingham… via @vsmacdonald
