I recall how all Gacha’s seemed boring to me at first coming from someone who only plays professional fps games, all till I tried Wuthering Waves a year and half ago, then up till this day this game is the best for me. What makes Wuwa this complete and enjoyable in your opinion?

Now that Hsin is actually out I think T0.5 is pretty fair for her Currently. I don’t think she released above the other top DPS and I’m not gonna pretend she did just because I like her. her current ceiling is higher than most of the modern 3.x DPS, and even characters around her tier can match or beat what she’s doing right now. Until Sumoing drops.
The important part is why she’s there. Her best team right now is still basically making the most out of Flare with ERover S2 Only + Suisui, or Chisa if you’re actually playing the quickswap version properly. Her current Unison team with Jinhsi isn’t some secret broken team either, Prydwen has it performing around the same level as her much cheaper Flare options.
This is why I’m way more interested in what happens when Suoming drops than where people rank Hsin on day 1. Unison mechanic actually existed way back in 1.x, It lets Hsin trigger an Outro + Intro without using the Concerto she already built, and if she has both full Concerto and Unison, Unison gets consumed first. So with another actual Unison character we’re not just giving Hsin “a better support”, we will finally get the rotation her Unison side is trying to play.
I also wouldn’t say Suoming automatically makes her T0 though. We already have early release-kit simulations of Hsin + Suoming and the results are good, but they aren’t showing some ridiculous gap over the current meta. WU.DA.MAGE currently has the Suoming Unison team around 41.9s on their benchmark compared to 40.7s for her best Flare setup, and they still have Hiyuki, Jingran and Aemeath above her.
Jingran especially is why I’m waiting. Right now I don’t think Hsin is above him. He’s T0, his teams are already complete and we already know what his premium setups can do. Hsin is being compared to that while one of the characters her entire second mechanic is built around literally doesn’t release until Oct 22.
Her sequences are another story though because S6 is strong. It gives her 40% Skill vulnerability, 20% DEF ignore, adds more Unison Boon value and makes her Flare damage capable of critting at a fixed 80/230. Prydwen’s sequence calc also has S6 at around 280% of S0, so that’s where her investment ceiling becomes a completely different conversation.
So I wouldn’t call Hsin underrated at T0.5 right now and I definitely wouldn’t call her T0 just because Suoming is coming. T0.5 is probably fair for the character we can play today. Oct 22 is when I think we can actually start arguing about whether she belongs with Jingran/Hiyuki/Aemeath, because that’s the first time we’ll have the real Unison team in our hands instead of judging half of it, But in my opinion I really hope she is at least middle of the Tier 0 line because it wouldn’t make sense to me at least to make the hype of our first sentinel and the sentinel of this patch to be weaker than other releases.
