Hi, thanks for bringing this to our attention. The cleanliness rating is not set by us and is based on the ratings in customer reviews. I've passed your message onto our Market Support team who are looking into it.

It is unfortunately a glitch where some countries aren't showing in the 'join' list. But we very much do operate in Mexico! The only way to access it at the moment is if you search for hostels in Mexico, then go back to your homepage you will be asked to join the chat.

Solo travel can be a bit scary at first, but once you’ve done it, the only thing you’ll be scared of is your bank account preventing you from doing it more.

Don’t travel to get the ‘bug’ out of your system, it won’t work, you’ll only want to travel more.
