Got a new M5 Mac with 128GB unified memory and thought I would test the current state of local models on it.
Turns out they’re getting pretty good, even on fairly commodity hardware. Muse is particularly good.

It's interesting - the @github stacked PRs CLI extension is _very_ Graphite inspired. Like you go up and down the stack checking out PRs, then if you amend something, you need to manually rebase the upstack.
I forget how awkward this is, because @gitbutler does all of this automatically.

The @gitbutler is cooking. Their TUI was absolutely game changing. It requires you to buy into their way of working, but I feel jj does as well. It's well worth it imo.

The nightly version of GitButler has full support for native GitHub stacks (as of a few days ago).
ngl, agentic stacking with the `but` CLI has never been this good.

the `but` TUI has a pro-state that lets you run any `but` command.
to enter it, use the colon `:`.
then type your command of choice.
most of the operations are already natively in the TUI but this is helpful for some commands still
the process of building the benchmark led to a bunch of optimizations in the `but` CLI
@krlvi did some pretty cool evals trying to determine how @gitbutler stacks up against Git and Jujutsu when being used by agents.
While I assumed `but` would be better than Git since the CLI is optimized for that, I was surprised by JJ's benchmarks.
