Three cars equipped with “Smallcam” cameras will cover 15,000 km of roads across Laos, marking the country’s first Street View update since 2016.

APPLY FOR THE WORLD LEAGUE 2027 🫡
If you think you have what it takes to compete at the highest level of GeoGuessr, sign up for the World League Qualifiers! This year, we’re changing things up with a new qualifying format.
A total of 100 players will be invited to take part in the Online Race:
🌍 40 EMEA
🌎 30 Americas
🌏 30 APAC
Rating will be our primary metric when selecting which applicants are invited. Country diversity may also affect the selection of players, but will not be a factor once the Online Race begins.
The qualifiers then kick off with a 4-week Online Race, where invited players compete by playing Duels and trying to achieve the highest rating possible.
At the end of each week, players will earn points based on how their rating compares to the other competitors in their region.
After 4 weeks, the top performers from each region will advance to a single-elimination tournament, where they’ll battle for spots in the 2027 World League.
As for our returning players, all 24 players from the 2026 World Championship Finals are already qualified for the 2027 World League!
That leaves the following spots up for grabs:
🔵 9 EMEA
🔴 8 APAC
🟢 7 Americas
Rules and terms are available on the World Championship page, and more details about the 2027 season will be shared on our social media and website soon!

We’re happy to finally share that the World League start date is set! And with that, we’ve also got some news on who you can expect to see compete 👀
Not the most shocking reveal... all 24 players who qualified for the 2026 World Finals have been invited and have accepted their spots in the upcoming World League!
But there are still 24 spots left to claim... 9 EMEA, 8 APAC and 7 AMERICAS seats..
Today, sign-ups for the 2027 season officially open! More information can be found on our social media or the World Championship page.
A WARM WELCOME (BACK) to all 24 players! We can’t wait to see who’ll be joining them in 2027.
