My 11 year old is reading coding questions and is every candidate right now. “But you could do it in one python line / with a different data structure.” “I DON’T CARE. Look, interviews aren’t about solving the question. It’s about testing you and getting signal from you.”

Gimme your idea for computer science / coding (or math) topics for my son’s school passion project (a 3-4 month project). His prior topics have been QR Codes and Design of Programming Languages (where he wrote a basic programming language).

Parents out there—if your kids school has donation parties in an auction, what do they call these events (eg, “Parties with a Purpose”, etc)?

Wix support (who, fyi, tried to close out the ticket several times for no repro, although they hadn’t followed the repro steps) says “won’t fix.” Contact can only use guest checkout on their primary email address, so it should just… fail for other emails.

Actually, Wix Support says that this behavior is okay and appropriate since the person already exists in the database. That isn’t really an accurate explanation though because primary email addresses do still work. And, clearly, it wouldn’t be an appropriate error regardless.

Anyone have a coffee maker like this and understand how these parts go? Believe they all came from the coffee maker.

Earlier in her response she laments that *not enough* of her black classmates are being accelerated, and she knows many who are ready but weren't given the opportunity. So, pro-equity folks reading, let's fight to *remove* barriers to access advanced math, not introduce them! 4/

A court decision in Palo Alto that found its school district to be in violation of the 2015 California Math Placement Act could set a precedent to challenge SFUSD's controversial math pathway sequence. sfexaminer.com/news/educatio…

Wow, neato. I’ve been selected for “The Top 50 Women Leaders of San Francisco.” Awardee selections were based on career track record [and also likelihood of falling for this scam of paying $495 to accept the award]. 😂 #paytoplay #womenweadmire

If anyone wonders why Twitter, etc has “blue checkmarks” (verified accounts), this is why. This account is an impersonation (thank you to my lovely coauthor @jackiebo who realized something was up!). I’ve reported to @substack and left a comment (and I was swiftly banned 🤷‍♀️).
