I love FindABrit. I’ve put my heart into it, and every business that joins and every person who backs it means a great deal to me. To everyone who’s supported us so far, thank you. For now, I want to see it truly flourish. More businesses finding customers, more orders coming through and more people seeing the difference their spending can make. But in the long run, success would be a Britain where a site like FindABrit no longer needed to exist. Where our businesses were thriving, our communities were stronger and supporting each other was second nature. That would mean the country was in a much healthier state. As much as I love this site, I love the idea of it no longer being needed even more 🇬🇧

17 years old and already building a business of his own. I love seeing this sort of ambition! The young lad behind Evans Web Design is putting himself out there, offering Shopify website design to businesses looking to sell online. I've got a lot of time for youngsters who show this kind of initiative. Starting a business is never easy, especially when you're trying to establish yourself at such a young age. I'd genuinely love to see him make a success of it. So if you're thinking about opening an online shop, why not take a look at what he's offering? Wishing you every success, young man. Keep at it! findabrit.co.uk/directory/ev…

I'm sick of people sticking a finger in our faces and telling us we're supposedly lazy, entitled, unwilling to work hard and somehow responsible for everything wrong with our own country, while others are showered with praise and given credit for achievements that aren't even theirs, as though the hard work of ordinary British people counts for nothing. What a load of bullshit. There are decent, hardworking people up and down Britain getting up every morning, going to work, running businesses, raising families, helping their neighbours and doing their best to get by. Yet you'd think none of them existed sometimes. Tell people for long enough that they're useless and have nothing to be proud of, and eventually some will start believing it. Well, we're bloody well better than that. That stubborn British determination hasn't gone anywhere. We need to start believing in ourselves again, backing each other and remembering what we're capable of. I'm not interested in being told what we've supposedly become. I'm far more interested in what we can become again.

History will either remember us as the weak and cowardly generation who surrendered England, or as the brave and courageous heroes who saved her.

One thing I forgot to add! Who are your favourite independent British journalists, news outlets, podcasters and commentators? Tag them below. I'd love for them to see what we're putting together 🇬🇧
I've added a new section to FindABrit: British Independent Media & Commentary. 🇬🇧 I'm looking to bring a limited number of the very best independent British journalists, news outlets, podcasters and commentators on board. Listings are completely free, but I'll be selective. I want the best of the best. The idea is simple: mutual support. Give independent British voices another platform to reach new audiences, while helping FindABrit grow and earn the trust of more British businesses. Each will receive a dedicated listing with a backlink to their website, YouTube channel or chosen platform. In return, a backlink or shoutout to FindABrit would be hugely appreciated. It's not compulsory, but every bit of support helps us reach more people and encourage more British businesses to join. If you're interested, drop me a message or apply here: findabrit.co.uk/apply-to-joi…

A fresh coat of paint can make a world of difference, but getting the right people in to do the job matters just as much. That's where Roberts Painting Contractors Ltd, based in Doncaster, comes in. From domestic decorating to larger commercial projects, they're another independent British business worth getting to know. Pleased to welcome them to FindABrit 🇬🇧 Take a look at what they offer 👇 findabrit.co.uk/directory/ro…

Coffee Yard at night ✨ York's longest snickelway linking Stonegate to Swinegate through narrow, low ceilinged passages, some barely three feet wide. Originally called Langton Lane, it was renamed Coffee Yard in the early 1700s after the coffee houses that sprang up nearby. – at York, England
