It is an incredible honor to be inaugurated as North Dakota State University's 16th president. My vision for the university is one where excellence sets us apart, where our land-grant mission continues to guide our work as The People's University and where all of us move forward as One NDSU. Thank you to everyone who attended today's ceremony to show their support for the future of NDSU. I'm excited for what comes next and, most of all, for the opportunity to serve the people of this university and the people of North Dakota.

Yesterday, we joined industry partners for a tour of the new state-of-the-art Richard Offerdahl '65 Engineering Complex. This approximately $100 million project was made possible through philanthropy, state investment and industry support. One of the defining strengths of a land-grant university is its connection to the people and industries it serves, and this complex is a powerful example of that partnership. The facility will support NDSU students through hands-on learning and experiential education, helping North Dakota State University respond to workforce needs across the state and region, for generations to come. A special thank you to all of the donors and supporters who made it happen. We hope the community will join us for the ribbon-cutting and dedication during Homecoming week, to see the building and what it means for the future of our state. @BobcatCompany Mortenson Marvin
