The @CA_Dem Chair @rustyhicks and other party leaders silenced youth climate activists and sabotaged a vote to ban law enforcement and fossil fuel contributions. Delay tactics won't work, we will keep fighting for our communities. #FossilFreeCADEM #CopFreeCADEM

.@SenFeinstein @DorisMatsui @SenAlexPadilla please speak up and ask @POTUS @JoeBiden to #StopLine3. We must protect treaty rights and the waters that give us life. We must end fossil fuel use, and that starts with #StopLine3
Consistent grassroots organizing WORKS! 🎉 congratulations @GarmentWorkerLA for this hard fought victory. CA has finally decided to enforce minimum wage for garment workers.
HUGE victory today. Governor @GavinNewsom has signed #SB62! We are overwhelmed at this monumental moment. We’re thankful to the Governor for upholding his dedication to workers’ rights and ensuring that California will no longer be the sweatshop capital of America.

. @TimWalz you can't claim to be a climate hero and prop up a dirty pipeline. ✔️ 50 coal-fired power plants. ✔️ Dozens of spills in our rivers ✔️ Putting wild rice at risk. #StopLine3 #ActonClimate #Indigenousrights stopline3.org/take-action

IMPORTANT UPDATE: #SB62 is currently being held up & has not been sent to CA Senate for a crucial vote. It would be an total FAILURE of Speaker @Rendon63rd & @AssemblyDems to abandon garment workers in sweatshop conditions. Release #GarmentWorkerProtetionAct to the Senate NOW!

.@GavinNewsom California needs you to sign this bill.
I just heard that #SB332 (@BillDoddCA) is headed to @GavinNewsom's desk. I sincerely hope he will sign it. The bill takes an important step towards changing the wildfire culture in California. It is also among the first to recognize the roll of tribes in wildfire resilience.
This legislation could restore cultural practices to CA native tribes and help reduce the disastrous effects of wildfires. Please send a letter to @CAgovernor today!
Several of my prescribed burning colleagues have been working hard on legislative fixes to make it easier to burn on private lands in California. As a result, 2 new bills are on the Governor’s desk. Please consider writing letters of support. the-lookout.org/2021/09/02/i…
.@DorisMatsui can you please sign onto this? It’s literally the least we can do.
It's time we stop subsidizing the very companies contributing to the climate crisis. I'm joined by @RepMaloney, @Ilhan, and 51 other colleagues in calling to immediately end fossil fuel subsidies. oversight.house.gov/news/pre…
Many of LA’s 45,000 garment workers make less than 1/2 min wage bc brands under-pay their factories. Brands at the top of the chain profit from low wages & wage theft without accountability. @GavinNewsom + @JenSiebelNewsom, protect workers and stop the exploitation. Pass #SB62

This is exactly how I was treated time and time again working in the “sustainable and ethical” non-profit fashion scene. @sunrisemvmt we can do better. I’m asking you to read and listen to this letter.
