and as I sat down to consider the zero-trust relationships in my life, I wondered… when will I stop thinking about web3 and start focussing on web me?

I’m trying to be intentionally lazy in my daily life so I’m forced to use personal AI agents (dot, Muse, OpenClaw) as much as possible and find out what they can actually do beyond booking flights. 🙂
One of my "lazy" use cases: dot for language learning is surprisingly great.
After a work trip to Shanghai, I decided to commit to learning business Mandarin. But I'm too lazy to research and sign up for classes or programs. So while driving to a birthday party, I called dot and asked it to practice with me, teach me new terms, and email me a summary afterward.
✅ I practiced for much longer than I would have with a human because I couldn’t be embarrassed by the state of my Mandarin. For ~40 minutes, I threw out sentences half in English while dot filled in vocabulary and corrected my grammar, switching between languages seamlessly. I’d call it again just to practice more.
✅ The email summary (pic attached) was formatted exactly as I'd asked on the call.
🟡 dot appeared to have no awareness of its own speaking speed. At times, it would speak so fast that the words started to garble. I’d ask it to slow down, and it would, but the speed would creep back up a few rounds later. The garbling was a little unsettling.
dot made practice so low-friction and low-stakes that even the laziest version of me is doing it.
More boring personal agent use cases to come if there’s interest!

After a few years of growing Stripe's Capital lending product, I have started a new Experimental Projects team focused on rapidly building new capabilities for @stripe.
I strongly believe that the world will be a better place if more people can start successful businesses and I want to help make that happen.
If you have ever thought "I can't believe Stripe doesn't have X", let me know and I could change that.
(Also I'm hiring if you know any engineers who would be a great fit for a high velocity / high grit team)

I launched a Substack: Breaking Change!
I’m going to write about what I’m learning as we build through the biggest breaking change to how we work, at @stripe and beyond.
First post: Can models build fully functioning t-shirt shops? Sort of.

IVE BEEN BETRAYED. I ORDERED THE CRACKED CRAB. SO WHY HAVE I BEEN GIVEN A CRACKER?!? IM BAD AT THIS.
My hottest take: Cantonese food is underrated in the current era.
Now 100 Canto people are gonna tell me I’m not having good enough Cantonese food which is not the point!!
Treasury Agents are here
Over 5,000+ users a month are already using agents to analyze your spend, understand your balances and financial data.
Next, they can act on it.
We’re opening up capabilities that let agents move money, convert currencies, and more with your approval.

We built Stripe Directory to bring distribution directly to the Stripe CLI.
The bottleneck isn't building anymore. It's being found.
If you’re a @stripe user with a public profile, we help others (and their agents) find you: docs.stripe.com/directory.
