Ach, #Werder! Entgegen aller Vernunft hofft man jedesmal, dass die neue Saison endlich wieder besser wird, und dann ist es doch das alte Elend. In jedem Werder-Fan steckt eine Portion Masochismus. Bremen, Kaiserslautern, Schalke sind Nostalgie-Vereine. Sie leben von einer großen Vergangenheit, die vermutlich nie wiederkommen wird.
Ich bin so alt, dass ich Rudi Völler, Micoud, Frings, Riedle, Diego, Ailton, Özil & Co noch in Grün-Weiß spielen sah. Ich war bei den Meisterfeiern und hielt im Stadion den Atem an, als Kutzop im vorentscheidenden Spiel um den Titel gegen die Bayern kurz vor Schluss den Elfmeter an den Pfosten setzte. Und ich erlebte ein paar Mal, wie Werder sich in jenen berühmten Rausch spielte, der als "Wunder von der Weser" in die Fußballgeschichte einging. Lang ist's her.
Im Stadion singen sie immer noch, dass der neue deutsche Meister mal wieder vom Weserstrand kommt. Das ist etwa so wahrscheinlich wie dass ich nochmal Marathon unter vier Stunden laufe. Es wäre an der Zeit, dass jemand die bequeme Harmonie der großen Werder-Familie stört und aufschreibt, wie und weshalb der Verein in eine Abwärtsspirale geriet, die bis heute anhält. Aber in Bremen kehrt man lieber die Scherben unter den Teppich.
Jetzt geht es Jahr für Jahr gegen den Abstieg. Kein Geld, keine Ideen, kein Mumm, weder auf dem Platz noch im Verein. Man möchte am liebsten nicht mehr hinschauen, aber weil man das nicht kann, hofft man jeden Spieltag auf ein neues Wunder. Und kaut danach an seiner Frustration. Egal: lebenslang grün-weiß! Crazy that Harry Kane hasn't had a single bad season since he broke onto the scene.
Only time he's came close to looking "washed" was the 1st half of 21/22, only to follow it up with (in my opinion) the best form of his career, and finishing with 26GA in the league.
Elite for 12 straight years. Crazy.

Neuer Trainer, zwei Tage, Truppe wird so nie wieder spielen, sekundär. Testen, zusammenstellen… Wichtiger fand ich den Einsatz, die Giftigkeit um Zweikampf.
für Euphorie gibt es aber auch deswegen noch keinen Grund, weil es m nur genau ein Spiel war.
