Observation:
Despite having the biggest metro network with vibrant retail passages leading to TODs most of the Tokyo residents look buckbroken and miserable on the trains.
Mumbaikars getting crushed like cockroaches somehow seem happier.

If anyone chooses public transport in Bengaluru, punish them with fare hikes of up to 71% in Metro & 67% in BMTC buses.
Relocate bus shelters away from convenient locations, delay Metro projects & insist on end-to-end double-decker flyovers. Is this how Bengaluru plans to encourage public transport? @CMofKarnataka

So, lallantop has done a full fledged show on how lack of crowd at the New Delhi station at the eve of Diwali is destroying the livelihood of Autowalahs. Tries to hint that this is due to recession.
Not a word on how the trains have been divided across Delhi stations to manage crowds and avoid stampede and timings have been altered to avoid clustered arrivals.

Some Punekars under the reels of new Metro are saying Shivajinagar to Hinjawdi metro costs ₹62 which is a lot and demanding to make it ₹20-30. Otherwise better to take a rickshaw.

I booked a ticket on route 11 AC from Airoli station East to Court Naka. When conductor tried to scan the ticket from the new Paytm machine, it showed error "QR Expired".
Either update App to accept Mumbai one ticket or discontinue it.

Update: BMC has cleared encroachments on the 3,400 sq m plot reserved for a BEST bus depot on Swami Vivekanand Road in Borivli East.
27 commercial units demolished in a drive conducted by the R Central ward on Wednesday. Around 70 personnel, 2 JCBs and 4 dumpers deployed for the operation.
Early morning demolition commenced by the @mybmc after fiasco in Supreme Court yesterday over failure of Mumbai civic body to remove encroachments on a plot reserved for a BEST substation. In a first rather the SC asked for the BMC Commissioner’s salary to be stopped over it.
BMC sprung into action at 8 am today with the plot expected to be cleared of squatters by afternoon. More updates soon.
There are only 2 interchanges in India where 3 different metro lines intersect at one station.
1. Kashmere Gate (Delhi metro) since 2017
2. District court (Pune metro) since 2026
