THE FUTURE TAKES FLIGHT ✈️
What does an airport look like when it becomes a stage for the future of aviation?
This weekend, Lleida-Alguaire Airport became exactly that during Lleida Air Challenge 2026.
As night fell, thousands of drones took to the sky, transforming a real aviation environment into a spectacular canvas of light, movement and technology.
But this was about more than a drone light show.
Lleida-Alguaire is also an important base for EHang’s activities in Europe — a place where unmanned aviation, eVTOL and Advanced Air Mobility are moving from vision toward real-world testing, demonstration and operation.
Against this backdrop, the performance told a larger story:
Traditional Aviation → Drones → Autonomous Flight → eVTOL → Advanced Air Mobility → The Future Sky
From the aircraft that once transformed how we understand distance, to autonomous aerial systems that may transform how we understand cities, mobility and the sky itself, aviation is entering another era.
Proud to continue this journey with Aeroports de Catalunya, exploring how autonomous aviation technologies can create new possibilities not only for mobility, but also for cities, culture and public experience.
When thousands of drones rise above a real European airport, we are not only watching a light show. We are catching a glimpse of the future of aviation.

Empowering Digital Inclusion from the Skies: EHang at UN Digital Cooperation Day
As the only Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) / eVTOL representative invited to the 2nd UN Digital Cooperation Day during the 81st UN General Assembly High-Level Week, EHang engaged with global leaders and city representatives at the Local Action for Digital Inclusion roundtable.
Speaking at the session, our CFO Conor Yang highlighted the vital connection between digital infrastructure and urban aviation:
“Pilotless eVTOLs, such as the EH216-S, serve as the physical extension of a smart, digital urban mobility network. By advancing initiatives like our Global Fast Track Program and regulatory sandboxes across regions including Thailand and Sri Lanka, we are validating how autonomous flight can directly address real community needs.”
In dialogue with city leaders and the Mayors for Digital Cooperation (MDC), EHang urged mayors and urban planners to integrate air mobility infrastructure into broader digital master plans. Low-altitude digital infrastructure bridges geographic divides, ensuring life-saving services reach traditionally underserved areas through:
Vital Medical Transport: Fast, reliable delivery of critical medicines, diagnostics, and supplies across fragmented terrain.
Rapid Emergency Response: Instant first-response deployment during natural disasters or fire of skyscrapers and urban gridlock.
Essential Logistics: Resilient air links for isolated communities to ensure equitable access to economic resources.
By aligning with the Cities Digital Inclusion Toolkit, EHang continues to bridge cutting-edge autonomous technology with local governance—building safe, resilient, and inclusive skies where no one is left behind.

Recently, Huazhi Hu, Founder, Chairman and CEO of EHang (Nasdaq: EH), sat down with media for an in-depth interview, sharing authoritative insights on regulatory adaptation, global market layout, and the standardized commercialization path for Advanced Air Mobility industries worldwide.
“EHang’s flight footprint covers 23 countries and regions worldwide. Each market has a distinct regulatory framework, so we adopt a phased‑rollout strategy.”
— Huazhi Hu, Founder, Chairman & CEO, EHang
As global low-altitude economy policies and AAM regulatory systems vary significantly from region to region, EHang adheres to a prudent, compliance-driven global expansion roadmap tailored for different markets.
Thailand is advancing sandbox‑based validation, with a clear local regulatory roadmap in place. We are actively progressing toward securing official commercial operating certification within 2026. Meanwhile, EHang has been selected as one of the first enterprises for Hong Kong’s Low‑Altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox X initiative, with official test flights already underway to accelerate local operational verification and commercial exploration.
Leveraging nearly a decade of accumulated airworthiness certification experience and global operational practice, EHang has further optimized and launched its Global Fast‑Track Programme. The standardized framework consists of four systematic phases: regulatory alignment, sandbox planning, validation flight testing, and official commercial launch.
This mature operational system effectively shortens the traditional multi-year AAM commercialization cycle, enabling faster, safer, and more scalable market landing. Sri Lanka has officially become the world’s first country to fully adopt EHang’s complete Fast‑Track commercialization system.
“This is not simply selling aircraft. We export a full‑package capability covering validation, operational preparation and commercial roll‑out. Safety and compliance sit at the core of everything we do.” — Huazhi Hu
Beyond aircraft hardware supply, EHang delivers end-to-end industrial capabilities, including regulatory docking, safety verification, operational training, and standardized commercial operation solutions.
With a proven track record of safe flight operations across 23 countries and regions, every new market entry serves as a rigorous real-world verification of EHang’s global compliance system, technical reliability, and cross-border operational adaptability.
Sticking to the principle that safety and compliance always prioritize commercial speed, EHang continues to build standardized institutional and operational “vertiports” for the global low-altitude economy, accelerating the large-scale, compliant, and sustainable development of urban air mobility worldwide.
