EU Member States have agreed on the terms for releasing €6.6 billion European Peace Facility funds for Ukraine.
That’s good news for Ukraine and bad news for Russia.
€900 million are for the EU’s Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine. €1 billion will fund new joint procurement of equipment. And €4.7 billion will reimburse Member States, with some already saying they will channel their share to Ukraine.
Moscow’s hybrid attacks try to intimidate Europe into scaling back its support for Ukraine. Europe is doing the opposite.

Multilateralism is the only realistic way to address the defining challenges of our time: peace and security, the climate emergency, economic insecurity and artificial intelligence.
The EU’s message is clear: we need multilateralism that is strong, effective, representative and capable of delivering for people.
That is why, this week, the EU joined forces with 🇦🇺, 🇧🇧, 🇧🇷, 🇨🇦, 🇮🇳 and 🇰🇪 to launch #P4M: Partners for Multilateralism, International Law, Peace and Prosperity.
Our shared commitment must translate into concrete action: ending Russia’s aggression and achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, in line with the UN Charter and respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity; ending the suffering of civilians in Gaza and Palestine and advancing the Two-State solution; and pursuing a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Iran.

Today at #UNGA81, I co-chaired with 🇪🇬 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 a High-Level Roundtable on Gaza’s early recovery.
We brought together key international partners around one objective: turning early recovery plans into concrete action.
The #TeamGazaInitiative is our EU-led platform to coordinate early recovery efforts in an effective and transparent way.
Nearly €1 billion are already on the table. My message to our international partners is clear: join us.
Together, we can restore essential services, support livelihoods and give people in Gaza a perspective for the future.

Since March 2025, Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. We call on Russia to finally do the same.
Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law.

While here in New York, it was a pleasure to meet Mayor @ZohranKMamdani and participate in the event ‘Building an Economy for the Many’.
In an interdependent world, we need coordinated solutions to global and local challenges.
We cannot build an economy that works for the many without peace and stability in the world.
And we cannot build a more peaceful and stable world if our societies are divided and people feel left behind.
That is why we must defend international law and multilateral institutions like the @UN.
