Joyeux Jour des Franco-Ontariennes et Franco-Ontariens! 💚🤍
It's Franco-Ontarian Day, and we want to recognize Ontario’s Francophone communities, the history, culture, and contributions that Franco-Ontarians make to this province in #onted schools, hospitals, the arts, all levels of government, and beyond. #onpoli
ETFO condemns all forms of antisemitism and reaffirms its commitment to confronting hatred and discrimination. We recognize the impact of the shooting outside a Belleville synagogue on the Jewish community and on all those affected by this intentional act of violence.
No government should have sweeping power to decide when workers can exercise their fundamental right to strike. I call on @MarkJCarney to respect workers’ rights and amend Bill C-39. #canlab #cdnpoli workerstogether.ca/repeal-10…

The right to strike is non-negotiable.
Employers already hold enormous power over jobs and investment. Workers balance that power through collective bargaining, including the right to strike.
@MarkJCarney , workers’ bargaining power is part of Canada’s national interest.
Ford's attack on public services and workers who support and serve some of the most vulnerable people in our communities is a disturbing pattern. Enough is enough - it's time to treat workers with respect and value what they do. Solidarity with @OPSEU. Join the line - visit worthfightingfor.ca/picket-f… #onpoli #onlab
Let’s all do everything we can to end hate, discrimination and isolation of LGBTQIA+ people around the world. #IDAHOBIT2026 #IDAHOBIT
The Alberta Teachers’ Association is holding their Representative Assembly this weekend. @albertateachers have been through so much this year. Ed workers are having to fight for public education like never before. #solidarity #onted
I’m wearing this square of moose hide to raise awareness about the ongoing and devastating violence against Indigenous women and children. It’s at an alarming rate, and it’s absolutely unacceptable! Through learning, unlearning and action, we, as men, can and must change harmful narratives and stop gender-based violence. @Moose_Hide #cdnpoli
It is #EducationWeek! Join me in celebrating the 84,000 ETFO educators whose work is the heart of public education!
But let’s be clear: dedication and commitment cannot sustain the system alone. It requires real, sustained investment and a clear commitment by the Ford government to supporting the people who make public education work.
ETFO recognizes Asian Heritage Month with a poster inspired by the words of Japanese Canadian activist Setsuko Thurlow to create a more peaceful world: “Get involved. Take Action. Be an agent of change.” Peace and our collective actions are vital at this moment. #cdnpoli
In recognizing the International Transgender Day of Visibility, I want to say clearly that the existence and lives of transgender and nonbinary people are not up for debate. Let’s honour resilience, celebrate the courage of trans people, and continue to teach dignity, respect, and inclusion. #cdnpoli

2 weeks ago, the TDSB unjustly fired 2 Teachers at Bowmore. Yesterday, 8 more Teachers were suspended without pay. This is unprecedented!
On Feb 3 we will rally in support and solidarity for these beloved teachers, and for the schools our students deserve!
TODAY, on the National Day of Remembrance and Action Against Islamophobia, we remember the tragic attack and act of hate in 2017 at the mosque in Québec City. Hate hurts all of our communities and us. Our union is unwavering in its commitment to stopping hate; we must educate. #cdnpoli
Today, as I remember and acknowledge the Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives in Canada and around the world, and their descendants who are keeping their stories alive today. I renew my personal commitment and the commitment of our union to speak out and stop antisemitism, hate, and the denial of the #Holocaust.
Together we must boldly and fiercely say NO to hate. #onpoli #cdnpoli
