The AI war was never going to be the robot takeover. All it’s going to take is removing access to a few major services. This is what the next few days will feel like…and likely won’t slow down

When someone asks what we do, whether that is me and my @DDNintelligence team, or anyone in AI and in technology in any way, this is what I remind them of. I hope that you all know the impact we can have when we put our focus on what matters. I'd love for you to watch all the content we shared at the recent @TechFieldDay event. But if you only have 2 minutes to hear what matters to all of us, when I say things like "it's not about the model", or the knobs and dials that we spend incredible amounts of time tuning. This is why I do what I do... youtu.be/ciFKT0WqQWg?si=IARQ…

p.s. here are all three of the full presentations. I'd really love to hear what resonates, and where I can make improvements. techfieldday.com/appearance/…

p.p.s. I can't thank folks like @vClouder @mwpreston @SFoskett @virtualirfan who have been on this journey with me for the last many years. I wouldn't be here with the ability to have an impact on the world without the work you did. Thank you for reminding me daily how blessed we are to be able to make a difference, in some small way, every day.

Me remembering that I have like eleventy hundred Wordpress sites that I don't keep track of aggressively, but now have to secure because of the PHP issue.

To date, the best onboarding experience I've had in a platform is the @PalantirTech development platform. You are presented with clear onboarding questions, sleek animations, and the soothing dulcet sound of @chadwahl walking you through the why, the how, is what I would describe as the perfect experience. By the time you are done the flow, you are launched with a mission, vision, and ready-made tasks to get you up and running within minutes. The fanatical focus on implanting the why into your mind and reinforcing that value story as the "how" is introduced is a masterclass in human engagement. I onboarded quite a while ago, but I legit want to do it again because it was that well done.

Got some friends with a set of small (10-20MW) data center projects in the works, anyone looking for capacity?

Maybe we should be putting our collective tokens to use to battle CVEs rather that reproducing SalesForce and Photoshop 100,000 times a day.

Remember how we used to just slap "cloud" and then "AI" on things but it was 90% buzzword, and 10% execution. Something something "sandbox" something something. Just sayin' Be careful.

This is art in its purest form.
When passion meets skill! The C64 is 44 years old, yet it still has one of the most dedicated and skilled user bases, even decades later. It never ceases to amaze me what they get out of that machine. Jack Tramiel would be smiling if he saw this.

We live in strange times. Can you even imagine trying to explain this to yourself 10 years ago. It would have seemed fantastical then, and even now it feels so unreal to imagine what this will become. We are at an incredible point in history.

What it feels like every week in AI as the latest trends start to collide and we abandon the recent thing for the latest thing.
